Patrick Jones was born in St. Louis, MO where he attended both grade school and high school. A few years later, he met and married his wife, Sandy, in Washington, D.C. He is self-taught in higher learning in various disciplines, including paleoanthropology, archeology and woodworking. Returning to St. Louis, they had two children, a boy and a girl. He worked in a variety of fields before receiving an appointment to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department where he served in the 5th District, the Bureau of Investigation and the Communication Division, where strong report writing was a must. After these children graduated, one from college and the other from high school, Jones and his wife moved from St. Louis to Crawford County, Missouri where they now reside with their dogs. He, when not writing, attempts to work off the “Honey-Do” list, works in his wood shop or mends fences. His hobbies are hunting, fishing and just having fun with his five grandchildren who are, along with his two children and their spouses, the light of his life.
