Jonathan Hobbs graduated in Finance and Economics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 2006. Since then he has kept himself busy working in London for various financial firms such as Morgan Stanley, HSBC and M&G Investments. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst ® Designation. In June 2017, Jonathan left his work in the city to focus his efforts full time as an entrepreneur, author and investor. During that year, he started the www.stopsaving.com investor blog, which covers a wide range of investment-related topics. In his personal portfolio, he invests in stocks, mutual funds, startup companies, gold and cryptocurrencies. Jonathan believes strongly that nobody can predict the future of financial markets. For this reason, he simplifies his approach to investing with basic investment rules and strategies that work well over time.
