Brian Reisinger

Brian Reisinger grew up on a family farm and lives to tell the hidden stories of rural America. An award-winning writer and rural policy expert, Brian worked with his dad from the time he could walk before going into journalism and public policy. Brian is a columnist with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and has been published in USA Today, Newsweek, Yahoo News, PBS Wisconsin/Wisconsin Public Radio’s "Wisconsin Life," The Daily Yonder, RealClearPolitics, The Hill, and elsewhere. He has won awards from the National Society of Newspaper Columnists, first place in the Seven Hills Literary Contest, a Solas Award, and more. He worked as a journalist, then a speechwriter and strategist on Capitol Hill and across the U.S., before becoming an independent columnist and consultant. Brian lives with his wife and daughter, splitting time between northern California near his wife’s family, and the family farm in Wisconsin. He takes any moment he can at his woodland cabin out back of the farmhouse.
