I read a few reviews before and they were pretty positive and told me that this is a story with lot of steam.
Which might after re-reading this now, not be that true.
There is spice, quite a bit
But I think the scenes are rather short and since the style of this book is more written in some memoir-kinda way it’s more a narration, rather a „into the moment“ kind of spice?! If that makes sense?
It’s just the vibe I got, and I could be totally wrong with this.
I still enjoyed all the kinky moments and would most definitely recommend it for ppl who love kinky reads
The story is written from Roe‘s pov and guides us through his time at Nowhere Ranch.
Since his coming out, Roe is jaded. His homophobic family shunned him, while one particular member of his family hasn’t completely given up in bringing Roe back to a righteous way of living.
(If there’s something I can insta-vibe with is the disgust I have for the church-hardliner-villains in queer romance) and sometimes I need to pause, bc I can’t focus on the actual plot.
He meets his new boss in a gay bar and after an awkward moment, they start talking, connecting over shared kinky interests and they hook up.
Which follows is a hurt/comfort age-gap romance but also a strong found family/best friend story. Since Haley is the unofficial third MC.
And while I liked all the MCs, I couldn’t vibe with all the plotlines regarding the homophobic family f.e. But I know that I react rather strong with this type of plotline.
