As the flames of treachery spread throughout the Imperium, Horus plots to subvert or destroy all those who would stand against him.

On Mars, home world of the Mechanicum priesthood, the great manufactory-cities have long produced much of the weaponry required for the expeditionary fleets across the galaxy - making the world invaluable to whoever controls it in the coming war.

Now, the Warmaster's agents begin to stoke the fires of rebellion, turning the loyalist forges and the mighty Titan Legions against one another. And, with whispers spreading of an ancient terror lurking beneath the Red Planet's surface, the Dark Mechanicum rises....

Das Hörbuch vergeht wie im Flug, so packend ist es. Mechanicum pur inklusive Titanen und Knights! Absolute Empfehlung

First part is showing who the mechanicum is and the second half is where the story pick up. Worth if you like the idea behind the mechanicum.

Leider ist die Lautstärke des Sprechers, auch unabhängig vin der Dramaturgie, sehr wechselhaft, so dass immer wieder gerade Satzenden verloren gehen. Das ist auf Dauer extrem lästig

Tbh, I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of the Mechanicum faction, but this book was a superb listen. It's vital to the greater story of the heresy and puts meat on the bone of Mars' situation during the beginning of the great betrayal.

A lot of great characters, all of which feel fleshed out and well presented.

Missing one star because there are some questions presented that are to date unanswered and feel almost immersion breaking, still a big recommend
