Elliot Lake rests on the Canadian Shield in Northern Ontario and was a planned community that was born for uranium mining in the 1950’s. When mining was completed in the 90’s, Elliot Lake resurrected as a Retirement/Seniors community which currently makes up for a little over 40% of the population.
