Ergebnis für "The Space Adventure" in Satire

In an alternate America, JFK survived—and didn’t just win the Space Race. He never stopped. Now it’s 1972, and JFK’s ever-expanding space empire is ripping holes in space-time itself—erasing people, places, and entire histories from existence. The only ones who might be able to stop him? Nancy Kranick (Emmy nominee Natasha Lyonne), a former moon nurse lying low in Hoboken, New Jersey… and Richard Nixon, tangled in a conspiracy so bizarre it stretches from the Moon to a Shakey’s Pizza to a parallel-universe Watergate.

It’s 1969, and President Kennedy is serving his third term, and is maybe not quite himself—he has pushed America clean off the edge of the Space Age. Nancy Kranick (Emmy nominee Natasha Lyonne) is a night nurse on an orbiting space station who hates her job, is sick of space, and wants nothing more than a safe place to smoke a cigarette that won’t blow everyone up. Then she stumbles into an outer-space conspiracy tangled around President Kennedy, a miserable and long-forgotten estate lawyer named Richard Nixon, and an intergalactic object that could rewrite the course of history.

The revolt has failed. Executions have begun. And the Bellerophon—the last rebel ship—hangs beyond Earth with nowhere left to run. Firstin Guide and the surviving colonists refuse to surrender to the regime that crushed their rebellion. Their only hope is a new fuel capable of carrying them across thousands of light-years to another habitable world. Escape could save them—but leaving Earth means abandoning everyone they love. They flee tyranny to survive. They build toward a return.

George Marquis Lorrilard is a space exploiter with one dependable motive: profit. In a future where complacency has weakened the drive to explore and rival powers threaten the balance of worlds, Lorrilard’s appetite for wealth may be exactly the force no one expected to need. Armed with nerve, ambition and a technology that can turn air itself into an invisible barrier, he enters a struggle where personal gain and planetary power become impossible to separate. He wants a fortune. The world needs an advantage.
