Shelby Nichols can read minds. She thought she knew everything about the people in her life. She was wrong. When her journalist friend Billie lands the assignment of a lifetime—writing the memoirs of a ninety-four-year-old media mogul—Shelby tags along to help uncover the juicy details. Silas Lynch’s Victorian mansion is full of secrets—and apparently, at least one of them refuses to stay dead. But the deeper Shelby digs, the more she realizes some secrets were buried on purpose—and the kind of people who bury them don’t appreciate shovels. Oh, and Ramos?

Lord and Lady Baaden-Boomethistle have been in residence for some weeks now, and the villagers are hoping for a return to the good old days, when the lord of the manor sprinkled benefits across the village like fairy dust. Father Max Tudor's invitation to dinner at the Hall comes as a welcome novelty; it will be his first time meeting the famous family that once held sway in the area.

Sherman Holmes has officially settled into his new city, and the World's Greatest Detective Agency has opened its doors. While his put-upon partner, Watson, would be happy to keep the jobs as simple as missing pets, when a worried worker with an outlandish tale of ghosts walks in, there's no stopping Sherman from taking the case. Now, the new duo must investigate a local "haunted" tourist site where the scares are going off-script and otherworldly interference is suspected.
