Seeking to make their fortunes in human society, the elves of the underworld involve themselves in stock car racing, child pornography, and worse, and three runaway kids find themselves in a heap of trouble.

No memory, no resources, no secret lair, and no time to find her feet: this is the story of a self-made villain, and her fall into strife. Fleeing from unknown enemies and an early death, she emerges into a city gone dark in the aftermath of a complete systems failure. Hounded by heroes, menaced by gangs, and helped by the most unlikely of allies, she claws her way up from weakness to strength and works to build a better future for those who deserve it.

American Cavalry Scout Nephi Bennett and the survivors of Crazy Horse Platoon now possess the key to returning home to Earth—a mystic artifact—but its secrets continue to elude even the wisest among them. Fate twists when Bennett's wife, Xochi, is snatched by their old foe Colonel Dietrich, propelling Bennett and his comrades to use the artifact to alter destiny itself in an effort to rescue her. Bennett vanishes into the depths of time, and Captain Brown faces an agonizing decision—unleash an all-out assault on the colonel with his dwindling forces, or succumb to the darkness that encroaches.
