These poems have been brought together in order that these spiritual truths and impressions, presented in poetical form, will comfort and edify God's people as they wrestle daily with the world, the flesh, and the devil. To know that others have felt what we have felt, 'Through all the changing scenes of life, In trouble and in joy' to hear the feelings in our hearts echoed back to us, to be reminded of our Lord's love, will comfort the soul and bring encouragement.

Sometimes life gets overwhelming and we feel we are down to our last handle on reality. For some of us, the last thing we need is some 10-step plan that requires our entire focus and comes with an ultra-happy coach with a rags-to-riches story. What we really need is the ability to step back and watch how easily problems really do solve themselves. Sometimes it’s best to let the Universe guide you to the perfect solution. Set your raft for a peaceful voyage down the Tao of the River.
