Tempest Michaels has a vampire problem. He’s an old hat at this game and dealing with cases like this are his specialty. Except this time…the vampires are his clients. When someone starts targeting members of the local vampire Live Action Role Play club, there’s only one person they can think of to turn to–their old nemesis, Tempest Michaels. Unfortunately for Tempest, when he takes the case, he doesn’t realise they automatically assume that means twenty-four-hour protection.

Falsely advertised as a paranormal investigator, Tempest Michaels has a serial killing vampire to track down and a poltergeist to catch...because he’s staked his reputation on proving none of it is real. Helped by disillusioned cop, Amanda Harper, the duo is not only pitted against a brotherhood of vampire wannabes, but also a desperately ticking clock when one of his friends is taken. He’s got all the help he could need and more, though, as his friends, his mum, and his dogs are pitching in!

To do list: 1. Solve big case while boss is away. 2. Have serious relationship dramas. 3. Jump a river with a car. What the heck did I get myself into? My name's Jane Butterworth. For me, the paranormal is just a day job. I work at the Blue Moon Investigation Agency, a firm that specialises in cases that no one else will take, cases that start at strange and unexplainable and tier rapidly south from there.

The paranormal? It’s all nonsense, but proving it might get him killed. A woman whose dead husband is haunting her? That sounds like a routine case. Until she reveals her husband’s name …… and a past event Tempest wants to forget comes back to haunt him. Taking a case he doesn’t want, its only hours before he finds a threat on his doorstep. Leave the dead to be dead. Unfortunately, that’s not always possible. Includes short story Live and Die by Magic from the Realm of False Gods universe.

Gold coins from a centuries-old sunken treasure ship have been found on the beach in Cawsand. This would be no cause for Tempest Michaels to take notice, but a man murdered by the ghost of a dead pirate come to claim back the gold? That ticks all his boxes.

When he is called to investigate a Yeti attack in the French Alps, Tempest Michaels is certain it will just be another fool in a costume - He’s going to solve the case in five minutes and spend a few days skiing. Yay! Guess again. The mountain, the locals, and above all, the Yeti, have other plans in mind. With the Dachshunds doing their best to avoid the cold and Big Ben distracted by the abundant snow bunnies on offer, Tempest is in for a tougher test than he expected.
