Aurora Floyd is the spoiled, impetuous, but kind hearted daughter of Archibald Floyd, a wealthy banker and his wife, an actress who died shortly after Aurora's birth. As a teenager she is sent away to finishing school in Paris. This is volume two of the story which tells of Aurora's life with her husband John Mellish. This is a story of love, murder and the search for justice. - Summary by Michele Eaton

On July 20, 2012 in Aurora, Colorado, a man in dark body armor and a gas mask entered a midnight premiere of The Dark Knight Rises with a tactical shotgun, a high-capacity assault rifle, and a sidearm. Soon twelve were dead and fifty-eight were wounded.  A Dark Night in Aurora uses the twenty-three hours of unredacted interview transcripts never seen by the public and Reid’s research to bring the listener inside the mind of a mass murderer. The result is chilling, gripping study of abnormal psychology and how a lovely boy named Jimmy became a killer.

Ten years. Ten years since 21-year-old Arizona native Chelsea Yasser was left for dead in a parking lot -- her last moments captured on security footage. Her killer, sitting in the driver's seat of a maroon van, has never been identified. Now, in a first for the Aurora (CO) Police Department, a podcast has been created to bring listeners inside the investigation, to help find Chelsea's killer, and to close a case that has haunted so many investigators over the years it has become known as The White Whale, a reference to the infamous foe of Captain Ahab in the classic novel 'Moby Dick."
