In a forest designed to kill you, it pays to be the one designing the predators. For years, Vrax has survived the fringes of the Nightmare Wood, a mana-rich hellscape where the trees have teeth and the grass sprouts from your pooling blood. While his peers settled for Common and Rare classes, he held out for something better. He found his destiny in the bones of a long forgotten savage god of nature.

I used to think my life would be common, boring even. My online guildies and my friends sure thought so. Yet everything I knew to be true in this world all changed drastically one fateful night... or should I say, it shifted. As it turns out, my father passed on more than his name to me. Something feral and mighty awoke within me, and I knew at once, I would never be the same again. Shortly after, I received an invitation that I didn't expect, a call to attend the mysterious Apex Academy.

No sooner is one problem solved than three more rise up like vipers to take its place. Apex Academy has proven itself a worthy adversary. My skills as a shifter have vastly increased, and my allies grow thick around me. Soon, I'll have claimed a mate from each shifter type. Lines have been drawn. While some remain as loyal as ever, trust is not easily earned and betrayal always leaves a stain that can't be washed out.
