Über diesen Titel

Your Point My View Podcast is a conversational platform where every viewpoint matters. It’s not a judgement of whose right or wrong. We may ask why someone feels a certain way on a particular subject or, their viewpoint may raise an eyebrow or two, but most times, it’s out of fun because much of our conversation stems from points of views that can’t be debated so we have no choice but to make it an enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere. You're going to look forward to Monday afternoons at 3 PM to see whose views mesh with your view week after week, or who is just far off in left field. The beauty of our platform is that each person's view is their own truth. It’s allowed to come from an authentic place and, if it changes during the course of the conversation, that’s ok as well because maybe the conversation sparked a different way of thinking about things. The rule is not to cast shade on someone else's view or make them feel less of a person for having one different than your own. We are all encouraged to bring our authentic selves to the virtual table. We are all important and we want to keep it that way.

Mental health is very important – especially in today’s time, where factors such as social media can have a long-lasting effect on how we think of ourselves, as well as others. Do we know all that we need to know about it, or are we brushing it off and labeling it as something else? What about being misdiagnosed? These are all valid questions that need to be reviewed in detail. Join the YPMV panel as we dive into the crucial topic of mental health and wellness. In part one of this series, we’ll discuss the difference between mental health and mental illness, explore the importance of caring for your mind just as much as your body, and tackle the stigmas that too often silence conversations in the Black community. With real talk, shared experiences, and thoughtful insights, this episode is a reminder that your mind matters—and it's time we treat it that way.
