Two Dope Boys in a Navy jet. The Wingmen Show is a weekly podcast about challenges and opportunities in everyday life. Your hosts are two guys born in Harlem, New York previously unknown to each other. Separately, they became Navy pilots flying high performance jet aircraft on and off of aircraft carriers patrolling the world’s oceans. Their paths did not cross formally until they ended up flying for the same airline after their active-duty military service had ended. They have a wide range of experiences spanning the worlds of basketball and boxing. Drew’s father is Drew Bundini Brown, Muhammad Ali’s Wingman and coined the iconic phrase “Float Like A Butterfly Sting, Like A Bee". Martial Arts and Show Business are also areas of mutual interest. Drew has been featured nationally on television programs such as the Donahue Show and the Today Show. He has also appeared in hundreds of newspapers and magazines. Both are published authors as well as former Navy jet pilots and Commercial Airline Pilots; they retired after having flown the Boeing 777 airliner. The cultural mix of religions, immigrant parents and grandparents from Europe and the Caribbean gives them an uncommon perspective on racial matters. Melding the cultures of New York City, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Memphis, the Caribbean and Atlanta has helped shape their worldview when combined with the life they have seen and experienced having flown extensively to countries throughout the world. They are wingmen to each other, providing advice, guidance and constructive criticism when needed. The goal of the show is to inspire and entertain those unafraid to expand their minds and perhaps learn something new in the hope that the listeners can become wingmen to others. Each one, teach one.© 2023 Wingmen Show Persönliche Entwicklung Persönlicher Erfolg Politik & Regierungen Sozialwissenschaften

During trying times, when facing extreme hardship one may be able to tap

into an internal higher power that will bring out capabilities to overcome

challenges that you possessed all along, but just didn’t know it.

Commander Drew continues to be impressed with the quality of the operation

of the Virgin Voyages cruise line. While underway at sea, when a cruise

passenger fell seriously ill, the stricken individual was airlifted from the deck

of the ship by a rescue helicopter sent to transport this patient to a suitable

    medical facility.

To show that there are good things in the world, consider that an anonymous

donor recently contributed almost two million dollars to ease the financial

burden of repaying a portion of their college loans used for their tuition to

attend the Burnett School of Medicine at Texas Christian University.

While it has been popular to say that reading is fundamental, a significant

portion of the American adult population has a decidedly subpar level of

literacy according to recent data. This lack of reading comprehension and

critical thinking ability stands as a threat to the society as a whole.

When tactical pilots repeat the common phrase, checking your six, they are

referring to the six o’clock position of their wingman, directly behind, which

he or she can’t see. The solution is to form a bond where the practice of

mutual support results in each pilot looking behind the other wingman. Our

hero in this case kept close surveillance on a colleague who was severely

depressed, lost hope, and considered drastic actions that would have been self

destructive. In the end our wingman saved his mate from an irreversible fate.

Because of that, both are doing fine today.

The cure for cancer has been an elusive undertaking for the past century. Although many forms of the disease have been treated and reversed, there are still some that plaque portions of the global population. In an effort to raise awareness for the need for continuing medical research, Commander Drew recently attended a large annual Cure for Cancer Ball chaired by his daughter Taryn.

As we age it is common to enter different phases of life. If you take time to look backward, upon reflection, you can see changes in yourself over time.

Eating is a favorite pastime of just about everyone. But if done to excess, overconsumption can lead to a whole host of negative health outcomes culminating in an early death. Yet, everyone loves good food. It is a struggle to find things that are healthy as well as tasty, but in the long run it’s worth the effort to consume things less likely to hurt you.

One of the exciting developments in modern medicine is the emerging science of implanting microscopic mechanical devices designed to assist bodily functions at the cellular level to correct health defects in human beings. Another bit of good news is that Philanthropist, MacKenzie Scott has made another donation of seventy million dollars to a number of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

The loss of a beloved pet is a tough emotional experience. Having another being show love, compassion and understanding is the role of a good family member, even if they have four legs and a tail.

Meet a group of wingmen, many unknown, who literally took a giant leap and some even a cold swim to save a plane load of people from the harsh elements on a cold winter’s day.

Kindness costs nothing to give, yet some people reserve it for themselves and not for others; it’s needed now more than ever. Even rich & famous people like the late comedian Robin Williams can be battling life’s challenges that makes a simple act of kindness the ultimate gift.

Unexpected events happen all the time. When it’s something negative we may see it as an unneeded burden added on top of everything else that is going on, lowering our mood. Don’t despair, it’s just life. Keep a positive attitude and look for pleasant surprises that may be around the corner and pop into view.

The world may be crazy, but there is some good news. That big hole in the Ozone layer that had been getting attention for years is getting finally smaller, due to international cooperation that will benefit everyone on the planet earth.

Our Navy jets may be old, but in some ways the diversity of aircraft flown back-in-the-day look more interesting than their replacements that look so identical.

Artificial Intelligence is a fantastic tool if used properly. While you can access an unlimited bounty of information, keep in mind that it is not perfect. If it’s something personal, it may be in your best interest to cross check with a human being.

Meet a wingman who gave his all so that fellow comrades could live.
