What do you do when life doesn’t go according to plan and you don’t know what to do next?

In the final message of the Lessons From the Wild series, “Don’t Panic. Think.”, Pastor Joel shares a lesson learned from being stranded miles outside of town with a four-wheel drive system that wouldn’t engage: panic won’t solve the problem, but prayer, wisdom, and trust in God can change how you face it.

Unexpected circumstances are part of life, but they don’t have to control our response. Instead of allowing fear and frustration to make our decisions, Scripture teaches us to pause, pray, ask God for wisdom, and trust Him with the next step.

When you don’t understand what God is doing, you can still trust who He is. The situation may feel out of control to you, but it is never out of control with God.

Don’t panic. Pause. Pray. Think. Trust God—and take the next step.

You weren’t created to walk someone else’s path or keep pace with what God is doing in their life. You were created with purpose—and discovering that purpose begins with knowing who you are in Christ.

In “Find Your Stride,” we explore how God reveals His calling as we pursue Him, recognize how He has uniquely gifted us, and faithfully obey the steps He puts in front of us. Instead of falling into the trap of comparison or waiting until we have everything figured out, we can learn to walk in step with the Holy Spirit and trust God with the journey.

Your calling becomes clearer as you move. Stop trying to match someone else’s stride, and start faithfully walking the path God has prepared for you.

Following God doesn’t mean we’ll never face moments when we want to quit. When circumstances become difficult, answers don’t come, and hope begins to fade, faith calls us to remain steadfast.

Through the story of Job, “Finish What You Start” challenges us to build our faith on who God is rather than what is happening around us. Job’s endurance reminds us that we don’t have to understand everything God is doing in order to continue trusting Him.

Difficulty is not a reason to abandon the race. God can use adversity to refine our faith, strengthen our character, and teach us to depend on His faithfulness rather than our own strength. Keep going, remain faithful, and finish what you started—because the One who called you is faithful.

Life is full of changing times and seasons—some filled with growth and joy, others marked by waiting, transition, or uncertainty. Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us that “for everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” Through every change, God remains constant and His purposes are still at work.

Times and Seasons encourages us to recognize what God is doing in the season we’re in, trust His timing when we don’t understand it, and remain faithful as He prepares us for what comes next. Seasons may change, but the God who leads us through them never does.

Failure is part of growth—but what we tell ourselves after we fail can either strengthen our faith or fracture it.

In Part 5 of Lessons from the Wild, Pastor Joel encourages us to stop allowing moments of failure to become statements about who we are. Instead of beating ourselves up, we can take destructive thoughts captive, renew our minds with God’s Word, and trust His grace throughout the process of transformation.

What do you do when you’ve prayed, prepared, and kept going—but things still don’t look good? In Part 3 of Lessons from the Wild, Ps. Joel encourages us to keep moving forward with faith, hope, and perseverance. Through biblical examples of radical trust, obedience, conviction, and joy, we see how God uses difficult seasons to mature us and deepen our dependence on Him. Spiritual maturity isn’t about instant perfection—it’s about persistent movement toward Christ, trusting that God is still at work even when we can’t see what’s ahead.

Fear of failure can keep us from stepping into the very opportunities God wants to use to grow us. In Part 2 of Lessons from the Wild, we’re challenged to step beyond what feels safe, trust the One who is calling us, and take the shot.

Through Peter’s step out of the boat in Matthew 14, we see that failure isn’t always a setback—sometimes it’s part of the process of faith. We may miss, stumble, or even begin to sink, but growth happens when we refuse to let fear keep us from moving forward.
