• THE GRIEF TAPES with Georgia Polly Taylor: April 2024
    Jul 11 2025

Welcome to a birthday edition episode, as GPT moves through her first lap around the sun without her mum.

Between hoop‑school highs and pomodoro tornadoes, we reflect on ripples such as: the precious bonus months gifted by brain surgery, why a card signed only “Dad” can smack you round the head like a frying pan, the static buzz of that special someone's absence under the skin, jazzy grief toolkits, and how emotions lead our dancing between comedy and tragedy.

This one’s for everyone marking milestones without someone they thought would always be there, for those catching their breath between waves, and for anyone who’s ever laughed with tears still drying on their cheeks. We got you - we feel the feels.

Big love to G's mate Lucy and fam for offering the word “craughter” (crying + laughter). The phrase is a perfect fit for the strange, tender terrain we often find ourselves navigating in grief. Plus, a special mention also goes out to Julie, whose cakes remind us that sweetness and symbolism can co-exist in the most beautiful ways.

  • THE GRIEF TAPES with Georgia Polly Taylor: February 2024
    Apr 4 2025

In our second meeting, Georgia touches on what it was like to prepare and attend her mum's funeral. With honest takes on what her family encountered, she tells us of the stories, mementos and impact that accompanied this big day in their lives.

Our conversation adventures the metaphorically dense peaks, troughs, spectrums and circles of Georgia's new stages of grief. Along the way, you can expect to follow tangents of confusion, community, the comfort zone, cringe and courage (plus many other routes not beginning with the letter C ofc). One of my favourite images of the series comes in around the cringe chat, though! So listen out for that diamond 🌹

As G and I discuss here, relativity is important when striding on through the human experience. We hope this podcast can find those who might need it. If someone in your life came to mind when listening to this, please share an episode with them.

Didn't Buddha say something about candlelight never dimming when shared with others? I like to think that applies here. Let's share the flames. We haven't got this fire in our bellies and warmth in our hearts for nothing!

  • Welcome to Vita & Echo
    Feb 9 2025

In this first episode, our host shares the heart behind Vita & Echo and why these conversations matter. Through personal reflections and candid thoughts on life, death, and the human experience, we begin the journey of exploring what shapes us.

If you’re struggling or know someone who is, you don’t have to go through it alone—support is available. The National Bereavement Alliance has a great Grief Support Guide, with resources and signposts to help you or a loved one navigate grief.

The music is "Whisps of Whorls" by Kevin MacLeod.

    Sep 24 2025

Welcome back to the podcast where we share the highs and lows of live, love, laughing until we cry 😭

In this fifth instalment of our special series about GPT's grief journey, we trace back through the roots of her lifelong love for expression and map out how Mum's support helped her get to where she is today. We offer a fair few f-bombs, and there are even some musings over a Joe Exotic impression thrown in for good measure. We chat about her fairy wings as a kid, drama, sport, and the way Crohn’s reshaped her appreciation for movement. All of this folds into the current season of G's grief, as she explores new waves and a strange feeling of winter creeping in during summer.

We talk about grief as oceanic depths, about what would be radioed out for if stuck out in the vastness, and about how facing death head-on can strangely sometimes make life feel more worth living. Georgia shares more about how she can feel Sherri's presence everywhere. From sayings that still serve as an anchor, to memories that continue to make her howl, and always in the echoes of her boldness, which now also reminds us all to stand up, take space, and sometimes just say "f*ck it" too.

As ever, this podcast is an open invitation to come and sit by the fire with us. If something here resonates, please let it ripple outward and share the flame with someone you think might benefit from this space too... 🕯️

  • THE GRIEF TAPES with Georgia Polly Taylor: March 2024
    Jul 4 2025

Welcome to the quarter-way point through this story...

You join us on an "average Friday", as GPT contemplates a blue‑tit’s reflection and nods at a shire horse as it raises its archetypal head.

Keeping Sherri’s memory centre stage, we speak to the ways spirit makes itself known in things like candle flames, dreams, and sudden surges of feeling.

Although some cheeky tech gremlins managed to banish GRS from the second half of the episode, there’s still plenty to get stuck into - including approaches to cleaning the stink off your grief toilet!

Expect metaphors, mess, and musings on mothering in many forms: being mothered, missing your mother, and feeling a mother's presence mirrored back in others ✨

These episodes aren’t just conversations - they’re offerings, little pockets of permission, resonance, and a reminder that we're not swimming through our grief all alone.

If something from this episode stays with you, let it ripple on. If a name pops into your head while listening, please share and invite them to share this space with us too 🕯️

  • THE GRIEF TAPES with Georgia Polly Taylor: January 2024
    Feb 18 2025

In this first chapter of our recorded meetings, Georgia Polly Taylor offers her honest take on navigating the initial steps of grief. We invite you to join us in sitting with loss, as we listen to its echoes and hold space for what remains beyond death.

Recorded just weeks after her mum Sherri’s passing in January 2024, our conversation captures Georgia’s experience of the final months with her mum, her death at home, and how life feels after the fact. With honesty and warmth, she speaks about the realities of witnessing the end of a loved one’s life, the quiet shock of absence, and the ways grief unfolds in its earliest days.

As you will discover in this episode, last year Georgia completed some awesome physical challenges to raise money for two charities that supported her mum and family throughout their journeys with cancer. Although her original campaign is now closed, G has set up an extra little pot for anyone who is listening and would like to support these very needed local organisations. Read about G's story and donate HERE!
