Meanwhile, Marilyn adds yet more questionable qualifications to her CV, her managerial pressure chart gets a new colour, and Ask Marilyn & Rebecca tackles some of life’s biggest problems, including wasted anniversary champagne, a child considering a potentially life changing choice of football club, an international break DIY crisis and the dangers of married couples suddenly discovering they enjoy talking to each other.

Marilyn and Rebecca celebrate the milestone by looking back at how a slightly ridiculous idea involving football, AI and two unlikely pundits became a show they now look forward to recording every week.

There's still a Premier League weekend to deal with, though — and appropriately, something they were confused about in episode one is causing trouble again in episode 50: VAR.

There's controversy in the Manchester derby, more refereeing debate at Sunderland, another nervous visit to Tottenham Goal Watch, a remarkable night at Elland Road and an afternoon Coventry supporters might prefer to forget.

The imaginary postbag is also bulging once again as Ask Marilyn & Rebecca tackles football language, Match of the Day spoilers, a worried Tottenham supporter and the increasingly complicated question of who checks the people checking VAR.

Marilyn and Rebecca are back from their Tune Ability road trip, and while they’ve been away, the Premier League has very inconsiderately carried on without them!

There are two weekends of football to catch up on, from Manchester United bouncing back from their opening day disaster to Arsenal and Manchester City maintaining their perfect starts. There’s Chelsea’s entertaining approach to defending, Liverpool searching for their first win under Andoni Iraola, newly promoted Hull continuing their remarkable start and the increasingly important Tottenham Goal Watch.

Then it’s onto the latest weekend, including Arsenal v Chelsea, Everton v Manchester United, Ipswich v Liverpool and Fulham v Crystal Palace, plus a round up of everything else from around the league.

And because they’ve been away, the completely genuine and definitely not invented Ask Marilyn & Rebecca postbag has apparently been overflowing. The questions are split across the show as Marilyn continues her transformation from football pundit into relationship counsellor, financial adviser and expert on rules that almost certainly don’t exist.
