So… we finally did it! Us Two Guys went to 30 East Drive, the home of the Black Monk (AKA THE MOST VIOLENT POLTERGEIST IN THE UK)! But we were too scared to go alone, so we headed in with James of the Fortean News Podcast, alongside his collaborator Matt from Confessions of a Ghost Boy, and Paul of Question Buggers. We had a solid mix of experience, curiosity… and slowly dwindling scepticism. From the moment we stepped inside, the place had a “feeling”, and throughout the night, those feelings turned into experiences; ALL of which is detailed in this very episode! By the end, we all walked out scared, excited, tired and a believer. So was what we experienced paranormal? Or was it just the setting and our minds playing tricks? We’ll let you be the judge, but for us? That wasn’t just another night out.

And this segment might have you saying “sure, that’s weird. But where is the paranormal!?” But don’t worry, it’s coming! Because in the end, we find out just why this explosion only left behind a whole lot of weirdness!

#169 - Woeful War Crimes and Weird Wall Finds

It’s April Fools week! And what better way to celebrate than to switch up Iain and Jordan’s roles and it you’ve listened to March’s bonus episode over on our Patreon, then you’ll know that Jordan is currently in his DARK phase! And today is no different as he kicks things off with a guided tour through the history of the infamous Japanese Unit 731! A dark patch in history that saw human experiments, horrific acts and a complete disregard for human life all in the name of “scientific advancement”. Grim stuff.

And then Iain follows up, tries to forget all the horrific atrocities committed, and brings a list of the weirdest things found in people’s walls! Esoteric charms, cash and bodies of all varieties show up. So we’ll back to the light-hearted stuff eventually, you just gotta ride this train with us.
