Trauma, Tacos & True Crime is a true crime podcast hosted by La Dama del Desmadre—a half-Mexican, half-Nicaraguan, Cali born-mom of five with a dark sense of humor and a lot to say. Each episode explores true crimes, and the psychological aftermath left behind, alongside motherhood chaos, cultural commentary, and humor that cuts through the heaviness. This is not a therapy podcast. There are no glow-ups, no fixing women, and no pretending healing has to look pretty. Just real stories, honest conversations, and laughing when life makes no sense. New episodes drop starting December 31!La Dama Del Desmadre True Crime
  • The Room Nobody Could See- Lindsay Clancy
    Sep 26 2026

Okay… this episode has been sitting in my damn computer for WAY longer than I hoped for... 😂

I recorded this episode weeks ago, thinking, “Yuup, I’m gonna get this out right away.” LOL. And life said, no you're not.

    So here we are. FINALMENTE!

In this episode, we're going to talk about Lindsay Clancy... a mother who was accused of killing her three young children, and the postpartum mental health crisis that became one of the biggest questions surrounding her case. This isn’t just a true crime episode.

We’re going into the rooms nobody wants to talk about...

    The room of postpartum depression.
    The room of intrusive thoughts.
    The room of sleep deprivation.
    The room of postpartum psychosis.
The room where a mother can be screaming for help without really knowing how to say, “I am not okay.”

And then there’s the other room…

    CONSEQUENCES.

Because understanding mental illness doesn't automatically get rid of the consequences of what happened.

During Lindsay Clancy’s 2026 trial, her defense argued that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis and should not be held criminally responsible. Prosecutors argued that she knew what she was doing and was criminally responsible. The jury ultimately could not reach a unanimous verdict, and the judge declared a mistrial on September 4, 2026.

And because this episode was recorded BEFORE all of those new things, I’ve added an update at the end so you know exactly where this case stands now.

So...grab your tacos, pour whatever you're pouring, and come sit with me in a room that is uncomfortable as Fuu-hell.

Because motherhood isn't always the pretty nursery, matching pajamas, and “best job in the world.” Sometimes it's terrifying.

And sometimes the things happening inside a mother's head are invisible to everyone around her.

This podcast discusses true crime, postpartum mental health, psychosis, suicide, and the deaths of children. Please take care of yourself while listening. And as always: this is not medical advice. Relax. 😘

  • The Garage Kid - He's In There Again!
    Aug 19 2026

Every family has a garage kid. Maybe they followed Dad out there. Maybe they knew exactly where everyone disappeared when things got crazy. Or maybe... they grew up and realized they have a garage of their own...

Because apparently, we don't just store Christmas decorations and broken bicycles in there. 😂😂😂😂

So grab your imaginary screwdriver and come hang out with me in the garage.

I'm La Dama del Desmadre... let's go check what's been sitting in those boxes.

  • The Front Door - The Kid Who Waited

Before every memory... there was a front door.

Some of us ran toward it. Some of us hid from it. Some of us waited by it.

In this episode, we're exploring the moments that happened at the front door—and why some of those memories never really leave us.

So... which Front Door Kid were you? Let me know in the comments..
