The Warrior Medic helps men find, name, and heal the wounds keeping them from becoming who they were made to be — as husbands, fathers, leaders, and men of genuine faith. We start with the wound, not with religion, and walk toward the only One who has ever actually healed it.

  • How Do I Start Healing From Trauma? | The Warrior Medic
    Oct 19 2026

How do I start healing from trauma?

If you are a man who has tried to fix yourself with books, programs, and promises you made at two in the morning, and nothing held, this episode is about what comes first.

There is an order to healing, and almost nobody tells you.

A soldier goes down in the open, still under fire. The medic doesn’t start on the wound. He gets the man behind cover first, because a medic who works in the open can lose them both. Bill Anderson asks how long you have been trying to heal while the fire is still coming in.

Bill shares what he got wrong: getting away from his father without being healed, and building a whole life on top of the wound. He walks through the three stages of trauma recovery laid out by Harvard psychiatrist Judith Herman in her 1992 book Trauma and Recovery, starting with safety. Then he describes what cover looks like in a grown man’s life: a safe place, a safe person, and a safe pace. The episode closes with Zechariah 4:6 and one simple thing to do this week.

This is Part 1 of The Healing Journey.

  • The Place Where The Pathway Ends | The Warrior Medic
    Oct 12 2026

Why do men keep going back to prison? In the final part of The Pathway To Prison series, Bill Anderson follows the road all the way to the gate. At least ninety-five percent of state prisoners will be released at some point. Within three years, sixty-eight percent of one large group were arrested again, and within nine years, five out of six. Behind them are more than five million American children who have had a parent locked up.

This episode asks where the pathway actually ends, and why a cell can hold a man but can’t heal him. You don’t have to have been arrested to listen. Some men build their own cells out of anger, silence, and secrets.

Bill shares what happened when he walked out of his father’s house and the wound walked out with him, and a night in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, that changed everything. Scripture: Psalm 107:10, 13, and 14, and Matthew 25:36.

  • Am I Passing My Childhood Trauma To My Kids? | The Warrior Medic
    Oct 5 2026

Am I passing my childhood trauma to my kids?

If you've seen your child brace when you walk in, and you've heard your own father's voice come out of your mouth, this episode is for you.

Part three of The Pathway To Prison.

A boy sits at a kitchen table. His father walks in, keys in his hand, and knows exactly what he's seeing, because he made the same move at that boy's age.

Bill names the wound at its three levels, shows how it travels from father to son, and offers hope: the pattern is not a sentence.

The conversation draws on Ephesians 6:4, Colossians 3:21, Malachi 4:6, and the story of a father who brings his son to Jesus in Mark chapter nine. It ends with one step you can take tonight.

This week on The Warrior Medic — the wound handed down from father to child, with a new angle every day.
