  • Hosts RAGE as they rank Faddy v Fergie and McGinn v Robbo | The Warm-Up
    Feb 9 2026

If you ever needed evidence of the quality of the SPFL, today’s Winner Stays On delivers.

This month, the team debate the top Scottish players to have played in the SPFL - who have never played for one of the Old Firm clubs.

The team were spoiled for choice as they mulled over the SPFL era (post-2013) and picked out stars who have gone on to shine in the English Premiership, in Serie A and beyond.

Who do you think are the best Scottish players to have starred in the Scottish Premiership, outside of Celtic or Rangers? Is there a glaring omission from the list? And, if you do support Celtic or Rangers, who is ‘the one that got away’?

Have your say and send your questions or talking points for Kris Boyd, Steven Naismith and Chris Sutton in the comments below.

    0:00 STARTS

  • Celtic, Liverpool and Scotland LEGEND Sir Kenny Dalglish on his GOAT career - The Warm-Up
    Feb 2 2026

The King has arrived on The Warm-Up, as Kenny Dalglish joins Kris Boyd, Steven Naismith and the man he signed for a British transfer record as this month’s big guest.

In a comprehensive interview, which starts with early days playing in youth teams in Glasgow and launching his career in Junior football, King Kenny talks about what drove him to become arguably the greatest player Scotland has produced.

He talks candidly about growing up in the Lions’ Den, alongside the players who won the European Cup for Celtic, and about his relationship with legendary manager Jock Stein.

His move south to Liverpool and how it unfolded is discussed before he talks about his time at Anfield and playing in a great Liverpool side.

His surprise promotion to player-manager is covered as is his time in charge at Liverpool, Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers where he sealed another historic title triumph.

Not surprisingly he has a few stories about Warm-Up host Chris Sutton, including how his record signing fancied himself as centre half and squared up to Ian Wright!

He talks honestly about his return to Paradise and what went wrong and his ‘move’ to Rangers as ‘Director of Football’.

  • Playing Agony Uncle and Mrs Sutton, Special Agent | The Warm-Up
    Jan 23 2026

It’s been over a month since St Mirren celebrated League Cup glory. And Chris Sutton is still waiting on his cheque and case of champers from his old Buddies.

Answering questions from Warm-Up viewers in the latest Mailbag, Chris reflects on the role he played as St Mirren’s Mr Motivator and is asked if he would still refuse to open his curtains if they were playing in his back garden.

In the latest show, Chris, Kris Boyd and Steven Naismith also talk about football influences, team-mates who have tried to persuade them to switch clubs and the captains who drove them to victory.

Heart of Midlothian’s ‘new Scott Brown’ is under the microscope, as is VAR and the officials running it.

Did Naisy nearly move to Celtic? Should we stop the clocks on time-wasting? Who is going down and who is coming up the William Hill Premiership?

And what would have happened if Chris Sutton’s wife had told him to move to Rangers?

All this and more in the latest Warm-Up Mailbag.

  • Title can be lost not won this weekend | The Warm-Up
    Jan 19 2026

As Celtic and Hearts prepare for their top of the table clash at Tynecastle, The Warm-Up assembles for a special edition examining one of the tightest title races in recent memory.

For this special show, Paul Hartley and Barrie McKay make their Warm-Up debuts alongside Charlie Adam, looking ahead to this weekend’s game and reflecting on their own experience of title run-ins.

Paul can speak from both painful and happy memory, having come tantalisingly close to title glory with Hearts before going on to win it with Celtic under Gordon Strachan.
