This is a family friendly podcast for Caniacs by Caniacs. We're talking of course about the CAROLINA HURRICANES of the NHL. Brad and Raymond have been fans of the Hurricanes for over 60 years combined, going back to the days of the Hartford Whalers. Whether you're just watching your first hockey game, or you've been a fan for decades, this is the podcast for you. We look forward to talking about the Hurricanes and their Caniacs, as well as answering your questions or responding to your comments. So whether you're a Caniac, or Jerk, we're here to bring you our love for the best team in the NHL.StormCellar

This is back to our family friendly format (there is an analogy using attempted murder to be honest, but it's something I'd say in front of my kiddo).

We talk about where we go from here, how does the podcast adapt to the climate where one person will still be watching, and one will be following players from around the league.

We'd love your feedback. If you listen to the show, what would you like to see us do going forward.

This episode is for the adults, we will be talking to a Canes STM and a reporter covering the Hockey Canada 5 trial and fallout about the Hurricanes interest in McLeod and Hart, and why that is severely problematic.

This one has been marked explicit due to the nature of the content. Sexual Assault Warning.

This week we spoke to Mark and Chris from the Hillsborough Hogs youth hockey (Triangle Youth Hockey of North Carolina - https://www.tyhnc.org/). We had an excellent conversation about their organization, how the Hurricanes have helped grow hockey in the NC, and what some of the issues facing them are.

It was good to hear that the Canes don't seem to have taken the same imperial path of the Dallas Stars (https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/investigations/2025/08/01/nhl-dallas-stars-texas-youth-hockey-monopoly/84289184007/).

I certainly learned some things about NC's youth hockey beginnings and culture, so be sure to tune in to hear more!
