The Cardinals have a solid road trip and then return to rough treatment from the first-place Brewers. The gang struggles to understand the pitching theory for those games while understanding that winning may not be the top priority for the Cardinals in 2026

The demoted Cardinals are finding rough sledding in Memphis, particularly Nolan Gorman. Is he headed down the path of Nolan Gorma, Colby Rasmus and others – perhaps sooner than later? And, what’s the best position on the infield for JJ Wetherholt long-term? How does that change if Masyn Winn isn’t in the picture?

The USMNT finds a familiar end in Seattle. Keith and the guys discuss how Team USA did not show up when it mattered most. Viewership is up and Erling Halland is a breakout star. What does all of this mean for the long-term prospects for soccer in the US?

LIV golfers will participate in a PGA event this weekend as the golfing world gets more confusing. Yet another improper action from Brendan Sorsby? And is Connor Bedard (literally) built for the long-haul?

All of this plus the NBA’s one free-throw experiment, the unexpected World Cup dating boom in Kansas City and Mizzou continues to improve their non-conference schedule. It’s an action-packed episode of the St. Louis Sportists Podcast!

The Sportists record on Bobby Bonilla Day and celebrate appropriately, complete with a glorious cake from Labonne Bouchee (Thanks, Brian)!

There are surprise guests, late arrivals and all sorts of surprises in this episode as the team considers the critical phase of the season facing the St. Louis Cardinals. A month before the trade deadline, many questions about the 2026 seasons hang in the balance.

A former Cardinal – Wilson Contrares – seems to be on edge lately challenging fans and players alike. Dave Roberts is polishing his Hall of Fame credentials, and the Miami Marlins have a very hot June.

Elsewhere, Sergio Garcia encounters some bad lasagna. Wimbledon starts and the vibe is very different than it used to be. Sophie Cunningham wins the internet and finally, we may have resolution to the Brendan Sorsby situation.

Joe Spurlin offers a way to look at the World Cup that may change how you see the tournament for the rest of your life. And the gang is all watching more than they anticipated they would.

The Blues pull the trigger on the Mason McTavish acquisition which may turn out to be a key of buying low. And the Alexander Steen era begins in St. Louis – how will it differ from the Army administration? And are the Blues Better now than they were at the end of the season?

All of this plus Mo’s surprising move, who is America’s team and a town called Licking on this week’s wide-ranging episode of the St. Louis Sportists Podcast.

The midpoint of the baseball season is almost here and the Cardinals are in the thick of the playoff chase. The lineup is strong, but the rotation is springing leaks. The opening day starter seems especially vulnerable, and even Keith, a usually reliable defender, is out of ammunition.

Around the league, fans and players are concerned about a strike and Rafael Devers pulls a real-life Roger Dorn stunt in San Francisco. Pete Crow Armstrong continues to provide baffling moments along with brilliance and the Yankees and Dodgers have reasserted themselves at the top of their respective leagues.

The Blues make major news by sending away one of the franchise’s most polarizing players for a stunning haul that even social media applauds. At press time, the team has FOUR first-round picks, which presents versatility.

The Brendan Sorsby saga takes another insane turn as the NFL cancels the supplemental draft. Look for more attorney involvement coming soon. And Brian Kelly has found work – although not exactly where we might expect.

The World Cup continues to be can’t-miss TV and the one-name stars are shining. One former USMNT player says that they must play four perfect games to win the cup and says to not expect a win. Keith has strong feelings.

Golf fans behave badly in New York, Jack Webb almost had an amazing role, Sylvester Stallone wanted to score a goal and a memorable line from a Louisiana politician. All of this and more in this week’s action-packed, full-house episode of The St. Louis Sportists Podcast.
