The Bible says in Matthew 24:37-39, “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the day that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be also the coming of the Son of man be.” These are the last days, the coming of the Son of Man is imminent, what manner of men should we be, how then shall we live, what do we need to be watching for? Let explore the times of Noah so as not to be caught unawares and be found unfit to escape the coming night.

Knowing the name of something, especially the true name, gives you the ability to influence, command or control it. For example knowing the name can enable one to banish spirits and demons. Also, the name of something represents the fundamental nature of a thing and can give us deep insight into its character, history and vulnerabilities. The power to name someone allows us to prophecy their destiny, especially if the name aligns with God's intentions. In Genesis, speaking the name of a thing is equivalent to bringing it into existence or controlling its form.

Sin came into the world by one man and death came through sin. The soul that sin dies because the wage of sin is death. What was due us (humanity) was death, but God is His mercy didn’t discard us, instead He extends mercy to us and grace. In faithfulness to His compassionate nature, He preserved humanity so that He could get out of us what He originally purposed for us. By walking close to God and obeying Him we can lay hold to the hope, the victory He has established for us, which is redemption in Christ Jesus, the hope of glory.

Sin came into the world by one man, Adam, it progressed through his generations, wreaking havoc, leading to unacceptable worship of God, anger, jealousy and murder. The result being alienation from God, the ground and a life of wandering. Still, God in His mercy demonstrates lovingkindness and grace toward man and seeks to restore him to His original intentions for him.

The Bible tells us to guard our hearts with all diligence because out of it flows the issues of life. The way a man thinks (in his heart) reveals who and what the man actually is, it’s not the things that go into his mouth that defiles but what comes out of the heart. Man’s heart, apart from the influence of the Divine, is desperately wicked, depraved, that’s why God gives us a new heart. That depravity is revealed in how we live, our conduct, our speech, actions and attitudes

Where do wars and fighting come from among us? James says they come desires for pleasure that war in our own members. He says that we lust and do not have, we murder and covet and cannot obtain. We become jealous and envious of what others have, are doing, and their success. The Bible says that a man cannot lawfully or legally take anything to himself as his own except that which is given him by God. Cain saw that he and his offering was acceptable to God and rather than conform he chose to murder. God offers a solution, will we take it or will we continue in sin?

The wages of sin is death, it separates us from God, Who is the source of life. It denies us the privilege of coming into the presence of God and the life of God, but God in His mercy, His great love for us, His wisdom and grace has made provision to remedy the sin problem. We can gain access into His presence, the throne room to obtain mercy and grace to help, through the new and living way, which is the blood of Christ.

Rather than flee the tempter Eve has a full conversation with him leading to her deception. She then offers Adam that which God had forbidden to them, and He takes it willfully disobeying God and bringing sin into the world and with sin comes death. God visits them and deals with them, not according to their sin but according to His love, mercy, and grace; but even still He has to be just.
