  • They Lied to You About Prosperity: What Most Christians Get Wrong | Alan DiDio
    Sep 25 2026

Have Christians been taught to think about prosperity the wrong way?

Alan DiDio joins me to discuss his provocative new book, They Lied to You About Prosperity: The Shocking Truth About God’s Plan for Wealth and Abundance.

For many Christians, the word “prosperity” immediately brings to mind excess, greed, manipulation, and bad theology. Alan argues that those abuses have caused much of the Church to overcorrect—leaving Christians uncomfortable talking about money, provision, abundance, and what Scripture actually teaches about prosperity.

Alan also shares the dramatic encounter that completely changed his own approach to the subject. After deciding he would stop preaching about prosperity, he says God confronted him about that decision and gave him three words that became foundational to his message:

    “Fish come first.”

    In this conversation, we explore:

    • Why pastors are often afraid to preach about money and prosperity • The excesses and abuses associated with prosperity teaching • What Alan believes biblical prosperity actually means • The surprising meaning behind “fish come first” • Why financial pressure can keep people from fulfilling their calling • Whether Jesus was poor during His earthly ministry • Why Christians can react so strongly to discussions of wealth • The difference between prosperity as a promise and a principle • Why stewardship, diligence, and financial wisdom matter • Practical principles for getting out of debt • The arguments and logical fallacies Alan believes are often used against prosperity teaching

Alan defines prosperity not simply as accumulating wealth, but as having what you need—and more—to fulfill what God has called you to do.

Whether you embrace prosperity teaching, reject it, or are still working through what you believe, this conversation will challenge you to go back to Scripture and examine the subject for yourself.

  • 1006: Bo Kennedy Opened a Door to the Demonic and Paid the Price
    Jul 22 2026
Bo Kennedy made one dangerous invitation during a paranormal investigation: he told whatever was in the basement that it could use him. Minutes later, he felt as though he were dying.

In this episode, Bo shares his journey from Catholic roots and childhood paranormal experiences through a dark season of ghost hunting and ultimately into spiritual warfare ministry. He explains why paranormal curiosity can open dangerous spiritual doors, how Jesus redirected his life, and what believers need to understand about spiritual authority, discernment, and freedom in Christ.

Bo also discusses his book, Army of God: Pocket Guide to Spiritual Warfare, the growth of The BUMP Podcast, and how God has used testimony, obedience, and unexpected ministry opportunities to reach people searching for answers.

  • Why You’re Still Struggling to Hear God (And How to Fix It) | Wendy Backlund
    Sep 17 2026

Have you ever had a thought, impression, or feeling and wondered: Was that God—or was that just me?

Wendy Backlund joins Shaun Tabatt to explore how Christians can learn to recognize God’s voice with greater confidence. Drawing from her book Living from the Unseen: Reflections from a Transformed Life, Wendy shares how she learned to hear God through ordinary impressions, why discernment develops through relationship and practice, and why fear of getting it wrong can keep believers from growing.

In this conversation, Shaun and Wendy discuss:

    • How Wendy learned to recognize God’s voice • How to discern God’s voice from your own thoughts • Why hearing God often begins with small impressions • Why hearing God involves relationship and practice • Why striving can make discernment harder • How imagination relates to biblical faith • What it means to live with awareness of the unseen realm • Why Wendy writes down what she believes God is saying • How renewing your mind can transform your emotions • Practical ways to grow in spiritual awareness

Wendy also shares the provocative challenge she believes God gave her: “Being small is not going to change the world” and “You have permission to be as glorious as you want.”

If you’ve ever wanted to hear God more clearly—or wondered whether you were simply imagining it—this conversation will give you practical insight for growing in confidence and discernment.
