  • 025/ What Being A 'Real Man' Actually Means (From Someone Who Had It All Wrong)
    Feb 3 2026

"At 18, Ryan thought being a real man meant fighting, drinking and never showing weakness. By 29, he'd lost the plot entirely. Two years sober, 10 years talking about mental health online, and in this episode, he breaks down exactly where that version of masculinity breaks you."

At 18, Ryan had a pretty clear picture of what it meant to be a man. Fight hard. Drink hard. Never show weakness. Don't talk about how you're feeling.

It took him a decade to realise how badly that blueprint was breaking him.

Ryan is a voice actor, DJ, music producer, and MMA competitor. He's also been talking about mental health online for almost 10 years, and he's two years sober after years of hiding behind the "fun guy" persona.

In this episode, we get into where that idea of masculinity came from, who his role models were growing up, and what martial arts gyms actually taught him about being a man, the good and the bad.

We talk about the drinking, the escapism, and the slow unravelling that happens when you build your whole identity around looking like you've got it together.

And we talk about what it actually takes to rebuild sobriety, accountability, mental health, and what Ryan thinks masculinity should actually look like now.

For any young man who's ever felt like he had to pretend he was fine, this one's worth listening to.

  • 024 / Why High-Achieving Men Feel Stuck (And How to Break Free)
    Jan 13 2026

Why High-Achieving Men Feel Stuck (And How to Break Free) With Tim Cooper

High-achieving men don't struggle because they lack drive.

They struggle because they're carrying invisible weight no one sees.

In this episode, I sit down with Tim Cooper, a mindset and performance coach who helps successful men untangle the load behind the wins.

    We dive into:

    • The Success Trap: why the finish line keeps moving and what that does to you

    • The three versions of yourself (work mode, family mode, weekend escape) and why that split is exhausting you

    • How to recognise you're stuck before it costs you everything

    • Why chasing performance without purpose leaves you empty

    • The hidden role alcohol plays in keeping high performers trapped and why sobriety might be the unlock you need

    • Actionable steps you can take this week to reclaim control

If you're successful on paper but feel restless, anxious, or caught in the same destructive weekend patterns, this conversation will hit different.

This isn't about working harder. It's about finally addressing what you've been avoiding.

  • 023 / This Is Why So Many High Performers Are Going Sober
    Dec 9 2025

Is this why so many people are going sober?

In this episode, I sit down with Cameron, part-owner of TrackStack and someone who has lived in the music industry from the inside.

We talk about what it really feels like to live in late nights, clubs and constant noise, and how easy it is to lose yourself in that world.

Together we unpack the real cost of chasing the scene, how alcohol quietly drags down your standards, energy and confidence, and why taking a break from drinking can be a turning point for your health, focus and career.

We get into what changes when you stop escaping at the weekend and start facing your life head on.

If you look successful on paper but still lean on “the lifestyle” to cope or switch off, this conversation will hit home.
