  • Local Bands: Tarnish and Eyes of Salt
    Feb 16 2026

On this episode we talk about the Sacramento pop punk band Tarnish and the Colorado melodic hardcore band Eyes of Salt. Both of these bands are incredible and were a ton of fun to listen to. Tarnish definitely brings the story so far sound but add another dynamic to it by being heavier. They've changed their sound a bit from when they started playing back in the early 2020s, but every change has brought great growth and skill. https://www.instagram.com/tarnish.ca/?hl=enEyes of Salt are one of the only bands we've heard be able to make the Comeback Kid sound done right. They are fast, aggressive, and have incredible lyrics about the hard topics going on right now. This is a band that we need and they are absolutely crushing it. https://www.instagram.com/eyesofsalthc/?hl=en

  • Band Interview: Outpost 31
    Feb 10 2026

On this episode we talk to our buddies, Rob To Live (Will to Live, True Intentions, etc) and Chris (Die Young TX, Swivel) about the John Carpenter's The Thing inspired Thrash band, Outpost 31.

It was so cool to see how much work went in to this concept album. It was created to be able to listen to it with the movie front to back in order. It pays a lot of homage to old Thrash and old Horror movies and we absolutely loved it!

  • Band Interview: Backlash
    Feb 3 2026

On this episode we were lucky enough to chat with Gabe and Dylan from the Australian Metalcore band, Backlash. We talked about Aussie hardcore and what it's like being a band in a country so big and spread out. We talked about the influences that bands like Parkway Drive and I Killed the Prom Queen had on them. We also talked about how this band got started and what their plans are for this year. It's so cool that we would be fortunate enough to make friends with a band across the globe from us. It speaks to how cool this scene is and how small the scene can be as well. Everyone needs to check this band out, they are super cool guys and make incredible music.

On this episode we talk about the New Orleans, New Tone SKA band Bad Operation. We talk about how cool their sound is in the SKA scene and how different it is compared to a lot of the music that got us in to SKA. We talk about how relevant their lyrics are in todays climate and how needed a space like this is as well.

We also talk about the Sydney Australian, Metalcore band Backlash. We heard one of their singles on Instagram and instantly fell in love with their sound. They have this really cool melodic guitar in their new single and it's definitely worth checking out.

  • It Dies Today
    Jan 19 2026

On this episode we talk about the Buffalo, New York Metalcore band It Dies Today. I think most of us remember them from the Caitiff Choir but their EP, Forever Scorned, before that album is amazing and the two albums after are great too. We talk about how they might have lost popularity after their second album, Sirens, even though the album is not bad at all. We talk about how maybe some of the shows they did might have hurt them, especially Ozzfest, because people in the crowd that listened to them might not have understood them. We also talk about some of their singles that have been released and some new fests and shows they are doing in the future. Go check them out when they play Hellfest and give some of their side projects a shot like Frozen Ground.

  • Interview: Adam from Riff Valley's Tacos (and a bunch of other super cool stuff from South Texas!)
    Jan 12 2026

On this episode we talk to our buddy Adam from Riff Valley's Tacos. We met him and his brother up at #flyoverfest a couple months ago and fell in love with their tacos.... that happen to be vegan tacos as well. I know it's crazy, but they are some of the best tacos I've had, vegan or not.

We got in to what came first, love of music or love of tacos and how he got started cooking. We talked about his influence in the scene in South Texas and how him and his brother basically built the hardcore scene down there.

We also heard some amazing stories about times he brought bands down there and what it was like booking shows in a place that is kind of difficult to get to. He deserves a ton of credit from what he has done in the scene and it was really awesome talking to him!

  • Nostalgia Band: Thrice (pt 2)
    Jan 5 2026

On this episode we talk about the later albums from Thrice, starting with the album Vhessiu. We talk about their sound changes and how they grew as musicians. One thing that was interesting is they said their sound evolved when they got better at their instruments and I think that's a really great concept as a musician.

We didn't give albums like Beggars enough attention when they came out but can really appreciate them now that we are older.
