  • The Giants Were Too Small; the Eagles are Headed to the NFC Championship Game

    The Eagles opened their playoff run with a dominant victory over the Giants, so of course the first topic of conversation is the Flyers and Sixers!  After touching on the recent news surrounding the tenants of the Wells Fargo Center, the guys dig into everything great about the Birds' demolition of the Giants (12:39); it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, though, as both John and Joe took issue with some of Nick Sirianni's decision-making on Saturday night (21:20).  Then, the guys discuss the other three Divisional Playoff games (32:05) before examining Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the 49ers (50:00).

    The Phillies agreed to a massive contract with free agent shortstop Trea Turner on Monday, which was perfect timing for the guys to discuss the deal and Turner's potential impact on the roster (5:59), what the lineup looks like in 2023 (16:58), and whether the signing closes the gap on the Braves and Mets (21:38).  Then, after the Eagles topped the Titans on Sunday (31:38), Jalen Hurts gets his due – at least on this pod – as the favorite to win the NFL MVP award (38:13).
