• Grieving the Loss of Someone Who's Still Alive; Ambiguous Loss.
    Feb 26 2026

    Send a text

Grief is a very natural yet multi-layered response to loss. Most often, we associate grief with the death of someone we love, but what if the grief you were feeling was from the loss of what used to be, instead? What if that painful feeling of profound grief was due to the fact that the one you love is no longer what they used to be to you due to health or mental issues? We call that "ambiguous loss" and it is every bit as powerful as the death of a loved one, but that person is still living.

Join Dr. Becky and I as we discuss how this season of life can forever change us in ways we never imagined. We can either allow it to consume us, or we can cherish every positive moment we can with those we love while they're still here.

  • How Co-parenting Can Be A Positive and Loving Experience for Everyone
    Jan 15 2026

    Send us a text

For many years, we've been told that we should either write a book or do a talk about how we found success in co-parenting our girls... well, here you go!

The goal after our divorce was to always put our girls first, no matter what we may have felt towards each other. Fast forward 25 years later and Chuck & I are literally an extension of a beautifully blended family. A family that supports each other, appreciates each other and enjoys what both parents should be able to with their kids; even if we're not together. The girls get the best of both worlds when it comes to having both their parents present for holidays, birthdays, family gatherings, dinners out, recreational outings and on & on. Neither parent has to miss out on special things just because you can't get along.

We hope our story inspires you to work harder at putting any animosity and resentment aside to put your kids' happiness and security first. In the end, what parent wouldn't want that?

  • Building Resiliency Through Grief & Growth
    Jul 10 2025

    Send us a text

What is resiliency and how do we get it? Resiliency is our innate ability to bounce back from the brink of a breakdown. The capacity to withstand or to recover quickly from difficulties or toughness. I hate to tell you, but most of the time we gain resiliency through really difficult life lessons.... We grow through grief, disappointment, heartache and betrayal to get stronger through it all. We face the ultimatum of sink or swim... Nobody is responsible for, or capable of bouncing back like we can like we can for ourselves.
Join me in an intimate and vulnerable conversation with my good friend Marcy Grant as she opens up about the greatest losses in her life. Her father. Her mother. Her twin unborn grandbabies. Her fiancé. After all of those incredibly devastating losses, nobody would blame her if she sank; but she didn't.... She grieved, she healed and she took a chance on love again to have a truly fulfilled life.

  • What is Shame and How Can We Learn to Break the Hold it Has On Us.
    Jul 3 2025

    Send us a text

What is shame and why can it be so crippling to so many of us? Dr. Brene Brown says "shame is the fear of not being worthy of connection and belonging. It is the fear that you are not enough." What a horrible place to be when thinking about who you really are or what you're worth, and most of the time, we are just dead wrong.

When all we feel is that we're not good enough or we find ourselves sabotaging our relationships & personal lives, what can we do to change those patterns, thoughts & beliefs?

Join Dr. Becky Wolery and I as we discuss how we can choose to utilize everyday tools OR get the professional help we need which will show us we no longer have to live in the shadow of our shame. We can rise above it and finally get to a place where shame doesn't define who we are.
