In this powerful episode of The Last Clue, we examine two missing child cases that shook America and exposed both the promise and the failures of the systems meant to protect the most vulnerable. We revisit the unsolved murder of Amber Hagerman, the 9-year-old whose abduction led to the creation of the AMBER Alert, now one of the most critical tools in missing children investigations. Then, in a gripping second half, we reveal the disturbing truth behind the disappearance of Ryan “RJ” Davis, the Oklahoma boy found alive after a massive multi-agency search that uncovered allegations of abuse, neglect, and institutional breakdown. With exclusive reporting, verified facts, and firsthand family accounts, this episode confronts hard questions about child welfare, accountability, and how warning signs can be missed. If you follow true crime podcasts, missing persons cases, child abduction stories, or investigations into systemic failure, this is an essential listen. This is not just a story of tragedy—it’s a demand for answers, justice, and reform.

  • "This guy is not to be found" - Trevor Deely
    Dec 8 2025

    Send us a text

In the dead of a stormy December night, 22-year-old IT worker Trevor Deely vanished from a rain-soaked walk home after a company Christmas party — last seen on CCTV, umbrella in hand, forever lost in Dublin’s empty streets. Despite decades of police investigations, enhanced video footage, searches of canals and secluded areas, and a €100,000 reward, not a single clue has definitively explained what happened to him. Was he the victim of a stranger ambush by the mysterious “man in black” seen on camera — or did he meet with a tragic accident in a canal nobody noticed amid the taxi strike and heavy rain that night? On this episode of The Last Clue, we retell what we do know — and examine our own haunting theories 25 years later.

  • BONUS - Jesse Mack Butler - Social Media Lies
    Nov 20 2025

    Send us a text

There's another danger - one that YOU can prevent - and that is misinformation on social media. Join us for this special episode that you won't want to miss but you will want to share with friends and family.

In Stillwater, Oklahoma, an 18-year-old former high school athlete, Jesse Mack Butler, pleaded no contest to a series of violent sexual assault charges stemming from incidents committed when he was 17. Court documents show he was originally charged as an adult with 10 felony counts — including first-degree rape, attempted rape, sexual battery, and multiple counts of domestic assault by strangulation.

Despite facing a possible 78-year prison sentence, Butler was instead granted youthful-offender status under Oklahoma law. The sentence was suspended on the condition that he complete a court-supervised rehabilitation plan: over 100 hours of community service, weekly counseling, daily check-ins, a curfew, and a ban from social media — until he turns 19.
