I had a full meltdown. I questioned myself. I let social media sway my authentic truth. I found myself second-guessing teachings I once trusted, including Brené Brown’s work on vulnerability, and I realized how deeply public opinion had begun shaping my inner voice.

This episode explores what happens when social media takes more than it gives.

I talk about deactivating Threads, choosing to leave Instagram, and the grief that comes with stepping away from platforms that promise connection—but often recreate the pain of not being chosen. The feeling of being a kid in gym class, waiting to be picked for the kickball team… and never being chosen.

The real question became: How do I learn to pick myself?
