If you know the history of Article 377, you would know it's not an Indian law. It was introduced in 1860 by British law in the IPC.

Article 377 considered all unnatural sex as a punishable offense including sex between same-sex with consenting adults and sex with animals. These acts were considered acts against nature. It was used by Britishers in their colonization as sodomy was considered a punishable offense.

But in a historic event in 2018, on 6 September 5, -the judge bench unanimously dismissed Section 377 and it de-criminalized same-sex consensual sex, keeping sex against kids and animals a punishable offense.

But before Section 377 was legalized, there were people who were trying to live their life authentically but couldn't. Professor Ramchandra Srinivas Siras gave his whole life to teaching the Marathi language at Aligarh Muslim College. He was well-known for his work, for his teaching skills, and knowledge. He was well-respected but everything changed when two students, disguised as journalists forcefully entered his house and filmed him having consensual sex with another man.

Soon, he was suspended from his job, and he was ridiculed and harassed but he didn't back out from a fight. The fought to live his truth, his authentic self and he fought till his last breath.......

He was a man in his 40s, tall, wearing a suit, and carrying a briefcase. He approached the ticket counter at Northwestern Orient Airport in Portland. The man got a ticket to Washington DC with the name Dan Cooper. It was a 30-minute flight and was going to be a quick, short flight. The man with a drink in his hand, passed the air hostess a note. When she didn't open the note, he politely told her that it was better she should open the note because he has a bomb in his briefcase. Then followed the most bizarre and mysterious hijack in aviation history.

His demands included 200,000 dollars and four parachutes. Once, he received his demands, the man jumped from the plane with the money and parachutes. With media gives him the identity of D.B Cooper, but the man was never found, alive or dead.

Now, after more than 50 years the question that still haunts people is - Who is D.B Cooper and Where is D.B Cooper?

We finished 30 episodes. Honestly, it feels strange to be into this. I didn't start this podcast with any thought, but during the pandemic, it just became a hobby. I learned how to edit, how to record, how to research, and how to actually run this podcast. I still feel like an imposter because I do feel like it's not enough but as I am doing it more, I might not feel that way.

So, on the 31st episode, I and Aniket discussed all things true crime including its impact on society and how we feel as normal people living in society.

On 11th May 2011, the NCWS came to the Bhattacharya house with an intention of discussing their son's condition and well-being. But soon afterward there was an argument between the husband and wife. The members of the NCWS told Sagarika that they are taking their daughter for a walk so that the couple can calm down. But, the daughter never came back home and soon their son was with NCWS.

Sagarike was declared mentally unfit for having her kids back. And NCWS was awarded custody of the kids till they turn 18. Soon the Indian government was also involved and there were negotiations happening back and forth.

After months and months of crying out loud, the Norway government decided to give the kid's custody back, but only to Arunubhas Bhattacharya, Anurup's brother. The kids were back in India, but the custody battle continued. But this time, it was Sagarika vs The Bhattacharya.

Sagarika lived an ordinary life in Kolkata, West Bengal. But her life changed when she got married and move to Norway with dreams and hopes of a better life for herself. Life for the Bhattacharyas changed when she got pregnant in 2008. Her son was born in 2008 and her daughter in 2010.

Life as a new mom of two very young kids was not easy for Sagarika. Her husband's plate was full of work, language classes, and driving lessons.

At the same time, Abhigyan started showing signs of distress. He would bang his head whenever he would get frustrated. The family would follow Indian traditions to raise the kids at home including feeding them using their hands, sleeping on the same bed with the kids, etc.

Norway Child Welfare Service got complaints about the worrisome relationship between the mother and the son. On May 11, 2011, CWS took away the kids from the Bhattacharya household, and in Nov 2011, the local country committee on Social Affairs ruled in favor of CWS. Soon followed a long emotional battle between Sagarika and Norway, where relationships were lost, secrets were uncovered and lives were changed forever.

Soon after Gretchen Carlson filed the lawsuit against Roger Ailes, he denied the claims. His wife Elizabeth Ailes rallied for her husband's innocence along with other female and male employees at Fox.

Things were quiet for some time, but then woman after woman came forwards telling their stories of how Roger Ailes took advantage of his positions all through the years and how his youngest victim was just 16.

Things were going on for a long time and Fox tried to clean up his act. They made the female employees sign NDA to protect themselves from going to trial.

She was just 15 when she started and by the age of 19, she had done more than 21 films. She became the most celebrated actress of the 90s. Her popularity and stardom made her one of the highest-paid actresses of the 90s when she was 19. But things came to an end when slipped and fell from the balcony of her 5th-floor apartment in Versova, Mumbai.

Her death was ruled as an accident but the conspiracy never stopped brewing. The theories involved death because of intoxication and drugs, suicide, and her husband's alleged connection with the underworld.

In 2007, when the film Om Shanti Om was released, where the lead character was killed in a fire by her director's husband, people brew a conspiracy that is similar to Divya Bharti's death.

It's been 30 years since her death, her legacy has remained alive and so is the conspiracy theory behind her "accidental death."
