Rockefeller was one of the most powerful financiers in the country at the time.

• Rockefeller aligned banking interests supported central banking reform • Aldrich, who helped draft the plan, was related by marriage to the Rockefeller family • Large New York banking houses influenced the structure
How does The Fed make it's money? It creates money electronically and uses it to buy assets, mainly:
• US Treasury securities • Mortgage backed securities
Those Treasuries are issued by the US government. When the government pays interest on that debt, the Fed receives interest. That interest income is the Fed’s largest revenue source. In recent years, this has been hundreds of billions annually. Exact numbers vary by year.
