• ANDREW FARRISS Mending Fences
    Feb 23 2026

Many of us first came to know Andrew Farriss as the founding member and principal songwriter of INXS, and we loved the heck out of those songs. Andrew is now flying solo and firmly living his country music chapter. In this episode we talk about his new single Mending Fences written with Stephen Wilson Jr and the life he is happily settled into these days.

We chat about the difference between the huge global touring years and writing songs at full pace compared with making music now between seasons on his New South Wales farm.

We also talk about the warmth in his songwriting and why so many people feel comfort in his songs and whether there is one on the upcoming album The Prospector that carries that same feeling.

It is relaxed, honest and I truly enjoy talking with Andrew and not just because he's Andrew Farriss. I think you will really enjoy the conversation.

  • KANE DENNELLY FROM 19-TWENTY on Saturday Breakfast
    Oct 4 2025

I caught up with Kane Dennelly from 19 Twenty after seeing the band live at The Gov. A friend told me about their set at Mundi Mundi and said I had to go see them with her and she was right. They storm the stage like a freight train, with Johnny thumping away on the upright bass, Jeremy driving it all on drums, and Kane out front leading the charge in pure, rowdy, joyful chaos.

We talk about the thrill of live shows and how sometimes when things go wrong, they can turn out so right, like at Mundi Mundi, when their instruments didn’t even arrive, but they still pulled off one of the most unforgettable sets of the festival.

Kane also shares stories from life on the road, the tenth anniversary of their crowd favourite HIPS, and how the band keeps that spark alive after so many gigs and festivals.

If you haven’t seen them yet, head over to 19twentymusic.com and check out where they’re playing next. Then come back and have a listen. It’s a fun, rowdy chat full of laughs, stories, and the kind of onstage magic only 19 Twenty can bring.

  • PIET COLLINS FROM THE SHARP - They are back!
    Oct 4 2025

    The Sharp Are Back

I caught up with Piet Collins from The Sharp, the Melbourne band out of the 90's that gave us unforgettable hits like Alone Like Me, Talking Sly and Scratch My Back. I saw them live the other weekend and they were everything I hoped for and more. The energy, the cheek, the harmonies, the fun.

Now The Sharp are back with a brand new lineup featuring Louie Lee Feltrin out front and Scott Owen from The Living End on double bass, and a new EP called 4.

Piet talks about what it’s like returning to the stage, the chemistry with Louie and Scott, those wild early days in skivvies, and why this comeback feels more like a rebirth than a reunion.

It’s warm, funny chat and it proves The Sharp still know exactly how to grab your attention. The new EP 4 is out now wherever you get your music and listen out for a scoop! A brand new show is on the way too,
