In today's episode, Mr. David gives a clear and vivid example of "the king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will." (Proverbs 21:1)

He fleshes out an understanding of this verse in a real way by describing the straits camp was in due to zoning issues with the town of Lake Waccamaw and how that was resolved in a miraculous way through those in power of governance of the town.

Mr. David recalls the mid 90s when The Anchorage Camp moved from nothing being air conditioned to slowly air conditioning the Main Building. He talks about the new possibility of this great asset and how that was able to change camping and ministry in general, not just at The Anchorage.

Mrs. Jeanie is and has been integral in the operation of the camp with her vital work in the kitchen and hospitality. She is a very hard worker and does not hesitate to sacrifice her time or resources to make sure whatever she is working on is extraordinarily special for the campers.

Mr. David joyfully talks about the rebirth of the camp in 1988 and 1989. The Anchorage Camp just came out of great financial straits right as the camping program was changing throughout the nation. There were many much needed large construction projects that limited the ability to hold camp in 1988, but which allowed for a new and updated camp program starting in 1989. Mr. David tells Mr. Dave about the struggles and joys during this time and how this period opened up doors to new people, especially volunteers, that have become invaluable throughout the years.
