  • We Pregamed the Podcast… Then Talked Bone Haus Brewing and Our 65-Mile Drive
    May 21 2026

Episode 8 - We pre-gamed it on this episode which shows especially at the end of this episode. Haha. Great times!!

In this episode of The Adam and Dedra Show, we take a very worthwhile road trip across the Valley to visit Bone Haus Brewing in Fountain Hills, Arizona... a brewery packed with killer beers, amazing views, spooky pirate-skeleton vibes, and one dangerously competitive scavenger hunt.

We talk through our favorite beers from the visit, including hazies, West Coast IPAs, stouts, prickly pear ales, and the standout Octavo Año collaboration with Wren House. Plus, we kick things off with an “Old Fashioned Friday on a Thursday,” debate whether a chocolate peanut butter stout pairs with bourbon, and share why Bone Haus is absolutely worth the drive from Buckeye.

Cheers to great beer, great people, veterans, bone dogs, and breweries that feel like a full-on experience.

  • The Wandering Tortoise Sour Fest: 15 Beers, Ceviche, Poke Banh Mi & One Giant Straw
    May 14 2026

Episode 7 - We hit The Wandering Tortoise in Phoenix for their Sour Fest, and things got deliciously out of control. Between smoothie sours, hazy IPA palate cleansers, Nelson’s Fish Market ceviche, a poke banh mi sandwich, and Dedra freezing in perfect Arizona weather, this episode had everything we love: craft beer, great food, questionable decisions, and plenty of laughs.

Before diving into the beer lineup, we stopped by Nelson’s Fish Market next door for their Peruvian-style ceviche and a poke banh mi that almost ruined our drinking day in the best way possible. Then it was off to Sour Fest, where we tasted our way through beers from Great Notion, Drekker, rAr, WeldWerks, Trillium, Toppling Goliath, Everywhere, North Park, and more.

Our big winner of the day? A tropical smoothie-style sour from Great Notion that was so good we had it more than once, shared it with friends, and brought a can home.

Dedra debates buying a Nelson’s Fish Market hat, we discuss why fries will always beat salad, and a giant paper straw nearly becomes the main character.

  • An 8% Dinosaur Beer, Brunch, and Brewery Hopping
    May 7 2026

Episode 6 - Prolific Brewing, Brunch House, and the Sonorosaurus Situation

In this episode of The Adam and Dedra Show, we crack open Sonorosaurus from Wren House Brewing, a double dry-hopped double IPA that comes in at 8% but drinks way smoother than it probably should.

We also recap our trip out to the Temecula, including a stop at Prolific Brewing Company, where we found a small industrial-style taproom, great beer, quality merch, and one of those back areas where you’re not totally sure if you’re allowed to walk through... but you do it anyway with confidence.

Before the brewery hopping began, we grabbed brunch at The Brunch House, where Adam went all-in on shrimp and grits, Dedra took a chance on chicken fried steak, and a very hardworking server fought the patio door while trying to deliver approximately every cup of coffee in California.

    In This Episode

    Adam and Dedra talk about:

    • Drinking Sonorosaurus from Wren House Brewing
    • Why an 8% craft beer is very different from old-school high-gravity malt liquor
    • Dedra officially joining the Wren House bandwagon
    • Visiting Prolific Brewing Company near Temecula
    • Adam’s De Luz West Coast Double IPA
    • Dedra’s Valley Fog Hazy IPA
    • Adam’s Post Pile American Chocolate Stout
    • The cherry chocolate stout that sounded interesting, even though fruit and chocolate is apparently a crime
    • Buying brewery merch when a place earns it
    • California driving stress
    • Brunch at The Brunch House
    • Why smaller breweries make it easier to meet people and get local recommendations

    Featured Beer

    Sonorosaurus
    Brewery: Wren House Brewing
    Style: Double Dry-Hopped Double IPA
    ABV: 8%

Smooth, flavorful, and dangerously easy to drink for an 8% double IPA. This one helped kick off the episode and reminded us why Wren House has earned its reputation.

    Brewery Stop

    Prolific Brewing Company
    Area: Temecula, California

Prolific gave us exactly the kind of brewery experience we love: a smaller industrial taproom, good beer, friendly atmosphere, and a place that feels easy to settle into for more than just one drink.

    Beers Mentioned from Prolific

    • De Luz - West Coast Double IPA - 8.7% ABV
    • Valley Fog - Hazy IPA - 6.5% ABV
    • Postpile - American Chocolate Stout - 5.5% ABV
    • Midnight Luau - Cherry Chocolate Stout

    Food Stop

    • The Brunch House - Temecula, California

A solid brunch stop with patio seating, good coffee, and plenty of breakfast options. Adam loved the shrimp and grits, while Dedra’s chicken fried steak was good but didn’t quite hit the craving the way she hoped.

    Memorable Moments

Adam compares Sonorosaurus to old-school malt liquor before immediately making it clear this is much, much better.

Dedra explains why California driving is stressful, even when Adam insists Temecula is not that bad.

The back area at Prolific creates that classic brewery moment of, “Are we allowed to be here, or are we about to get yelled at?”

Adam defends being interested in a cherry chocolate stout even though he does not like fruit and chocolate together in normal food form.

Dedra gives credit to the brunch server carrying an entire patio’s worth of drinks while battling a door and coffee spillage.

    Apr 16 2026

Episode 3 - In this episode of The Adam and Dedra Show, we kick things off with a review of Zombie Whip from Beer Zombies, a strawberry banana ice cream fruit sour that pours thick, looks wild, and tastes even better than it sounds. Then we recap our latest adventure to Hopsology Taproom and Wine Bar in Glendale, Arizona, a spot that blends a modern taproom with a homebrew supply shop and creates a really unique experience for craft beer fans.

We talk about the beers we tried, including the unforgettable Orange Drumsticks Imperial Hazy, which was delicious but poured more like a smoothie than a beer, plus pours from Wren House, Tombstone, and Drekker. We also share what stood out most about Hopsology, from the atmosphere and layout to the friendly service and the cool concept behind the business.

After beer, we made our way to Leo’s Hawaiian BBQ, where the food completely lived up to the hype. From teriyaki chicken and katsu to creamy macaroni salad and a surprisingly great chicken sandwich that Adam didn't get or hear about, it was the perfect ending to a really fun day out.
