  • Timeline of the brutal beating and murder of Tyre Nichols, police brutality, We do not deserve this
    Feb 2 2023
In this episode, Tee shares a poem inspired by the injustices the black community faces in terms of police brutality. Learn who Tyre Nichols was with Tee and then go over the timeline of Tyre’s brutal traffic stop that lead to his death 3 days later. This episode also discusses the debate of is this a black issue or a police issue, what police brutality is, blue vs. black, desensitization and dehumanization of POC, social media’s portrayal of POCs, and more. There is so much to unpack in this episode and it was a very hard subject to speak on, but it must be done if we want change. My people do not deserve this. My condolences are with the family of Tyre Nichols. Nobody should have to worry about their son getting beaten to death by those who are supposed to protect us. Tee can be reached on tiktok @t.a.smiths or in an email @teetellsit@gmail.com
