“I sense a spirit of tribal war rising—not merely in politics orrhetoric, but in the unseen realm. It is ancient, territorial, andbloodthirsty. It feeds on unresolved wounds, historical betrayals, andgenerational bitterness. It whispers through cultural pride and shouts throughpolitical platforms. It seeks to turn tribes into weapons, heritage intohostility, and diversity into division. Ghana, beware: this is not just a clashof tongues or customs—it is a principality that thrives on fragmentation.”

“This spirit is subtle. It masquerades as patriotism, but its fruit ishatred. It wears the garments of tradition, but its breath is violence. Itstirs old rivalries, manipulates elections, and poisons the minds of the youngwith inherited offense. It does not care who wins—it only wants blood, chaos,and the collapse of unity.”

“But the Lord is raising a remnant. A prophetic generation who will notbow to tribal altars. Intercessors who will cry between porch and altar.Watchmen who will expose the schemes of division. Apostolic voices who willcall for repentance, reconciliation, and revival. Ghana must not be devoured bytribal fire. The Church must not be silent. The prophets must not bedistracted. The time to warn is now.”

“Let every tribe examine its heart. Let every leader renounce the spiritof manipulation. Let every believer rise in prayer and truth. For if we do notconfront this spirit, it will confront us in blood. But if we stand in the gap,the Lord will heal our land.”

This message is not only about history; it is about the unchangingcharacter of God. He is faithful to judge sin, faithful to keep His word, andfaithful to restore what He has promised. As Scripture says, “Has God cast awayHis people? Certainly not!” (Romans 11:1, NKJV).

Body

1. Israel Was Scattered Because ofDisobedience

The tribes of Israel did not remain in the land because of their ownrighteousness. When they turned away from God, judgment came. Scripture says,“Then the Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth tothe other” (Deuteronomy 28:64, NKJV).

This scattering was not random. It was the result of covenantunfaithfulness. 2 Kings 17:6 tells us that Israel was carried away intoAssyria. Their exile reminds us that sin always has consequences, even forGod’s chosen people.

2. God Did Not Forget His People

Even in judgment, God’s mercy remained. The scattering of Israel was notthe end of their story. The Lord declared, “He who scattered Israel will gatherhim, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock” (Jeremiah 31:10, NKJV).

This is one of the most comforting truths in the Bible. The same God whodisciplines also restore. He does not abandon His covenant people. Heremembers them, watches over them, and holds their future in His hands.

3. God Promised a Gathering

Ezekiel prophesied, “Surely I will take the children of Israel from amongthe nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side andbring them into their own land” (Ezekiel 37:21, NKJV).

This promise shows that God’s purposes have not been cancelled. Thetribes may have been scattered among the nations, but they are not forgotten inthe sight of God. His plan includes both judgment and restoration, and Hisfaithfulness reaches beyond human failure.

4. God’s Covenant Is Still Active

When we ask where the tribes of Israel are, the deeper answer is this:they are in the hands of God. Some are known through historical lines, some arescattered among the nations, and many identities are not fully traceable byhuman records. But God knows exactly where His people are.

This sermon is not about hating people. It is about confronting everyspirit of delay, fear, discouragement, and resistance that tries to stop thepurpose of God. The Lord is still calling His people to build, to pray, torestore, and to finish what He started. As Nehemiah said, “The God of heavenHimself will prosper us; therefore, we His servants will arise and build”(Nehemiah 2:20, NKJV).

Sermon Body

1. Opposition comes when purpose isrevealed

The moment Nehemiah began to rebuild, resistance came. “Now it happened,when Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, that he was furious andvery indignant, and mocked the Jews” (Nehemiah 4:1, NKJV). This teaches us thatmockery often appears when progress begins.

Some battles are not signs that you are failing. They are signs that whatyou are building matters. The enemy does not fight empty assignments; he fightsdivine assignments. That is why believers must not panic when opposition showsup. Instead, we must recognize it and stand firm in faith.

2. Mockery is a weapon of distraction

Sanballat and Tobiah tried to weaken the hands of the builders throughinsult, ridicule, and fear. Their goal was simple: stop the work by stoppingthe people. But Nehemiah and the people refused to come down from the wall.

Nehemiah declared, “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down”(Nehemiah 6:3, NKJV). That is the posture of spiritual maturity. You do notleave your assignment just because someone speaks against it. You keepbuilding. You keep praying. You keep serving. You keep obeying God.

3. God gives strength to finish

Nehemiah did not fight in his own strength. He cried out to God andcontinued the work with courage. He said, “Do not be afraid of them. Rememberthe Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, yourdaughters, your wives, and your houses” (Nehemiah 4:14, NKJV).

This is a call to spiritual courage. The battle is not only for you; itis for your family, your future, your calling, and your generation. When Godgives strength, the wall can be rebuilt, the gates can be restored, and theenemy can be silenced.

4. The weapons are spiritual

We are not called to fight flesh with flesh. Scripture says, “For theweapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling downstrongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4, NKJV). This means we overcome oppositionthrough prayer, truth, faith, obedience, and perseverance.

So when Sanballat rises, we do not become bitter. When Tobiah speaks, wedo not lose heart. We answer opposition by standing on God’s Word and pressingforward in the power of the Spirit. If God is for us, who can be against us?(Romans 8:31, NKJV).
