  • T1D & Ultra Endurance with Roddy Riddle
    Jan 22 2026

Today I talk with T1D Ultra Endurance Athlete, the one and only Roddy Riddle. Roddy is a former International cyclist who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the late age of 40.

In 2013, he ran the Marathon Des Sables Ultra Marathon, which is a 154-mile race in the Sahara Desert of Morocco.

In 2016, he first attempted the Arctic 6633 Ultra Marathon, which is a 352-mile race in the Yukon of Canada, pulling out only 70 miles from the finish line. One year later in 2017, he returned to become the first Scotsman and first T1D to finish the Arctic 6633 in 2nd place; holding the 6th fastest time in race history.

Roddy’s motto is “Rule Type 1 Diabetes, don’t let it rule you.”

  • T1D & Goggins with Arnie Bunch
    Dec 11 2025

Today, I talk with T1D Endurance Runner Arnie Bunch. Diagnosed in 1992 at the age of five, Arnie has been navigating life with type 1 diabetes for decades. He holds a true passion for endurance sports, which recently included completing three full marathons as well as the 4x4x48 David Goggins Challenge.

Today, we dive deep into Arnie’s completion of the 4x4x48, which means running 4 miles at the top of the hour every 4 hours for 48 hours, resulting in running 48 miles total within two days.
