  • Come For The Vanity, Stay For The Sanity
    Mar 4 2016
Fantastic Frank Johnson and a Special Guest named Marsha (Stage Name) will talk about how eating right & exercising are essential to maintain your body for the long haul. On Thursday, March 3rd, 2016, at 8-9:45 PM EST Fantastic Frank Johnson will interview members of Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous (FA) who have lost weight and changed their lives by using the disciplines of this program. FA is a program of recovery based on the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Membership is international, with meetings held in the United States, Australia, Canada, Germany, and England. According to the 2009 census, total FA membership is just over 4,000. FA members are men and women of all ages. Some have been obese; others have been severely underweight, bulimic, or so obsessed with food or weight that normal life was difficult or impossible. The common denominator uniting members of FA is addiction and a relationship with food that parallels an alcoholic’s relationship with alcohol. The program offers the hope of long-term recovery, evidenced by many members who have continuously maintained a normal weight and healthy eating for periods of twenty-five or even thirty years. Food addiction affects many disabled people, too, including TBIs who are overweight and lack energy -- like me, for example. My anonymous friends will share what their lives were like before joining FA, what happened to them in FA, and what their lives are like now. You’ll hear about their release from food cravings, obsession, and self-abuse. You’ll understand the support FA members receive, gaining strength from one another. You’ll hear the conviction they have that there is a way to overcome any challenge. This is a show you won’t want to miss!

    Oct 2 2012
Celebrating our 2 Year Anniversary 90 Min Special hosted by Craig Sicilia with Many special guests and 3 new stories of the survival baltte its a civil rights movement like no other we are not fighting against repression, or unfair treatment. We are fighting for the very essence of who we are we are fighting for the right to exsist. for us by us As the survivor movement moves and grows so does the amount of money being put out federally, state and local but were lucky if a penny gets to the survivors, we need to develop a survivors support system and supports in each community by that community they should be their own thing, serving others and new survivors, every 21 seconds we get a new brother or sister who have had to spend decades till they found each other and the power of the first survivor meeting someone like them is overwhelming we are not even reaching 1% of us yet, We need our voices to be heard now, people are dying, becoming homeless, hopeless and more, we need one voice letting everyone know what we feel and live every day is real, what we need we need now, for to long have we gone un heard, we need to scream from the top of our lungs we are here, we are every where. For to long have we been monitized by those saying they do it for us, it time we do it for our self.
