    Dec 17 2025
We ease into this episode by trying to get ourselves into the Christmas spirit, talking decorations, movies, and the small rituals to help make the holiday season feel special. From there, we talk cinema prices, what feels fair, what doesn’t, and the growing anticipation for the new Avatar movie.

Flin shares how he forgot an appointment with handymen, we address the awkward feeling of letting strangers into your home before leaning into a bigger conversation about how we were raised and educated and why we’re so trained to work with our minds instead of working with our hands, and why this could prove suboptimal. We carry that thought into a broader brainstorm about career paths, and how to balance passion projects, self-employment, and part-time employment, as well as the value of patience and strategic long-term thinking. Along the way, we unpack a wild YouTube story exposing a large-scale scam in the German influencer world, and end with reflecting on getting better at small talk, why it matters more than we thought, and how it quietly improves everyday (social) life.

  • Side Quests & Sound Waves
    Dec 9 2025
This week’s episode pays tribute to life's unexpected side quests. The conversation drifts from practical to absurd to profound, just the way we like it. We talk gift shopping online vs. in real stores, and the wholesome charm of making handmade Christmas cards, before Julien reveals his unexpected side quest: bartending at the GQ Men of the Year awards and mixing drinks for celebrities like it’s no big deal. Somewhere along the way, we make a surprisingly convincing case for why every household might benefit from… owning a sword?

From there we slide into school days internship memories that caused genuine laugh attacks, only to end up in a deeper space again: talking about the pressure to “earn” your life, the desire for respect, and why some of us always feel like we need to justify our existence. And finally, we wander into the world of frequencies, sound, and the quiet possibility that music therapy might be a form of wellness we haven’t fully unlocked yet. A little silly, a little sincere, and definitely one of those episodes that feels like hanging out with friends who switch from jokes to life philosophy without warning. Enjoy!

  • Loose Thoughts
    Dec 2 2025
In this episode, we open up about the joy, pressure, and awkwardness that can come with giving and receiving gifts, why it feels heavy sometimes, and how we navigate the unspoken expectations around it as chronic overthinkers.

From there, we explore how quickly emotional reactions can spiral, and how we’re trying to stay in control instead of getting carried away. We lighten things up (literally) with a dive into the magic of soft lighting, mood-setting, and the tiny home tweaks that can make life feel cozier, before recalling our fading memory of the Covid pandemic and how we feel about it now.

And to round things out; some (semi) serious beard talk. The struggles, the commitment, and the unexpected side effects that come with facial hair when transitioning from a teenager to an adult.

  • Smoky Hallways & Other Observations
    Nov 25 2025
We kick things off with a quick light-hearted gratitude session, appreciating life's blessings as of lately, from clean running water and tech upgrades to the joy of ad-free media consumption.

Then we discuss the yearly Black Friday madness and the battle of resisting the urge to impulse buying. Flin shares a handful of his latest random observations, while Julien tells the story of unexpectedly running into a group of teenage girls smoking in his apartment hallway.

That moment opens a bigger conversation: how do you set boundaries and demand respect from younger people without becoming the exact type of adult you hated when you were their age? From there, we unpack self-regulation, debate the relevance of to-do lists, and the delicate balance between discipline and self-compassion.

The episode closes on a deeper talk about honest reflection, emotional awareness, and recognizing when to handle things alone, and when it’s time to reach out for help.

  • Young & Dumb
    Nov 18 2025
This week we start with memories and throwback stories from school days; relationships, betrayals, complex friendship dynamics, and all the subtle ways we learn to be compatible with other people.

From there, we jump into Flin's challenge of dealing with the attention when you’re somewhat of a public figure, the necessary boundaries and how to balance connection and privacy.

We wrap things up with a conversation about artists sharing their work online: the critics, unnecessary negativity, and why it matters to counter that with genuine appreciation for the people whose work we admire. A personal, honest, and just very human episode. Hope you enjoy!

  • The Mean Brain
    Nov 11 2025
Starting this week's episode off with a story about a strange gym encounter before unpacking feelings and discussing some lingering thoughts from recent events like last weekend's Halloween party's costume contest and its results.

We blind-rank some semi random things that make us feel safe and name those, that absolutely don’t. From there we're going into a deeper talk about social issues, privileges, and distinguishing between simply being masculine and being toxically masculine, aka being a piece of s***, and what all that means from our subjective point of view.

    Hope you enjoy!

  • The Longest Day & The One Bathroom Halloween Party
    Nov 7 2025
This week, Flin and Julien catch up after two packed weekends. First, Flin talks about his longest day 2025. Starting at the Berlin TV Tower, then a four-and-a-half-hour wait at a meet & greet with Julien, and ending the night at a friend’s birthday party all of that left him sick afterwards.

After recovering in time, he made it to the long awaited Halloween party, which quickly turned into a story of its own featuring nervous stomachs and a single bathroom.

On top of that, the episode comes with a few technical difficulties the perfect addition to an already chaotic couple of weeks.

    Hope you enjoy!
