That's what friendly conversations are supposed to do, right? Let's turn strangers into friends and friends into family, just like we both did over the course of the last 25 years. Tune in and joins us on our mission to become the friendliest podcast in the world!Copyright Well Life Creation Sozialwissenschaften

We ease into this episode by trying to get ourselves into the Christmas spirit, talking decorations, movies, and the small rituals to help make the holiday season feel special. From there, we talk cinema prices, what feels fair, what doesn’t, and the growing anticipation for the new Avatar movie.

Flin shares how he forgot an appointment with handymen, we address the awkward feeling of letting strangers into your home before leaning into a bigger conversation about how we were raised and educated and why we’re so trained to work with our minds instead of working with our hands, and why this could prove suboptimal. We carry that thought into a broader brainstorm about career paths, and how to balance passion projects, self-employment, and part-time employment, as well as the value of patience and strategic long-term thinking. Along the way, we unpack a wild YouTube story exposing a large-scale scam in the German influencer world, and end with reflecting on getting better at small talk, why it matters more than we thought, and how it quietly improves everyday (social) life.

  • Side Quests & Sound Waves
    Dec 9 2025
This week’s episode pays tribute to life's unexpected side quests. The conversation drifts from practical to absurd to profound, just the way we like it. We talk gift shopping online vs. in real stores, and the wholesome charm of making handmade Christmas cards, before Julien reveals his unexpected side quest: bartending at the GQ Men of the Year awards and mixing drinks for celebrities like it’s no big deal. Somewhere along the way, we make a surprisingly convincing case for why every household might benefit from… owning a sword?

From there we slide into school days internship memories that caused genuine laugh attacks, only to end up in a deeper space again: talking about the pressure to “earn” your life, the desire for respect, and why some of us always feel like we need to justify our existence. And finally, we wander into the world of frequencies, sound, and the quiet possibility that music therapy might be a form of wellness we haven’t fully unlocked yet. A little silly, a little sincere, and definitely one of those episodes that feels like hanging out with friends who switch from jokes to life philosophy without warning. Enjoy!
