This week, the guys have plenty to catch up on. Chris recaps his visit to the legendary Sweetens Cove Golf Club, while Winston shares about a weekend in Knoxville taking the family to the Tennessee-Auburn game.

Chris also gives a quick update on the ongoing saga of his 1999 Lexus LX470 - which, as it turns out, is providing plenty of content for the podcast whether he likes it or not.

Then they open up the mailbag and work through a pile of listener emails. There are plenty of ideas for the upcoming 100th episode, some helpful advice for Chris and his car troubles, recommendations for a listener planning a trip to Franklin, Tennessee, and a great question from someone considering the leap into entrepreneurship.

Golf, college football, old cars, Franklin favorites, business advice, and a whole lot of listener participation. Just another week with the Southern Gentlemen.

The Southern Gentlemen are closing in on a milestone - Episode 100! Chris and Winston kick things off by asking listeners for ideas on how they should celebrate the big one. Special guest? Favorite moments? Something completely ridiculous? They're open to suggestions.

Then it's time to recap a wild weekend of college football, including Texas' 20–17 win over Tennessee at Neyland Stadium with President Trump in attendance - and Texas star Colin Simmons' memorable five-sack performance that was unfortunately accompanied by one of the tackiest sack celebrations the guys have ever seen.

Chris also gives an update on his ongoing adventure with his newly purchased 1999 Lexus LX470, which continues to reveal new and exciting ways for him to spend money. Meanwhile, his wife's car is in the shop, leaving Chris behind the wheel of a loaner vehicle with approximately 47,000 technological features he neither understands nor wants.

And somewhere along the way, the guys tell a slightly risqué joke they debated whether they should tell on the podcast.

    They probably shouldn't have.

    They did anyway.

This week, the guys kick things off with a fun listener email from a self-proclaimed "dad girl" in Detroit before catching up on a big weekend in sports. They recap Ole Miss vs. LSU and Lane Kiffin's much-anticipated return to Oxford, then head to Bristol for all the drama from the Night Race - including the dust-up between Carson Hocevar and Ryan Blaney.

Then Chris takes Winston along for his latest adventure: buying a used car. After deciding he wanted something reliable from the Toyota/Lexus family, Chris explains how he's been using AI - along with the help of a trusted, car-savvy friend - to research vehicles, decode VINs, inspect undercarriages, listen to questionable engine noises, and hopefully avoid buying somebody else's problem.

Listener emails, SEC football, NASCAR drama, artificial intelligence, and used Toyotas. Just another week on Southern Gentlemen.

This week, Chris and Winston kick things off with a couple of listener emails and a hilarious new review - including one listener's suggestion for a potential "steak" alternative that Winston might actually be able to eat with his Alpha-gal allergy.

Then the conversation turns a little more serious as Winston shares about an issue his daughter is navigating in middle school. The guys talk through how to help our kids handle difficult situations without trying to fix everything for them, when a dad should step in, and when it might be better to let them work through it themselves. Along the way, they wrestle with some of the differences they've experienced raising boys versus girls, and the challenge of knowing exactly what our kids need from us in each season.
It's a conversation about parenting in the real world - trying to protect our kids, prepare them, and somehow learn when to hold on and when to let go.

Chris is back from another adventure in the mountains - this time in beautiful McCall, Idaho. He shares some highlights from his time out West, what made the trip memorable, and why there's just something good for the soul about getting away to the mountains.

But getting home? That's a different story.

What should've been a fairly routine trip back to Tennessee turned into a travel nightmare involving delay after delay after delay. Chris walks Winston through the entire saga, including the increasingly ridiculous number of flight delays, the frustration of being at the mercy of the airlines, and the moment when you start wondering if you're ever actually going to make it home.

It's mountains, travel chaos, a few good stories, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Chris is back from the mountains of Northern California, and he's got some stories to tell. This week, he recaps his trip to JH Ranch for Men's Week - several days with no cell phone, plenty of time in the wilderness, and a group of men who share a desire to know God more deeply.

Chris tells Winston about the experience of cutting down a tree the old-fashioned way (no chainsaw allowed), a grueling hike into the mountains that led to 24 hours completely alone in the wilderness, and the powerful, emotional encounter he had with God the Creator while he was there.

Of course, it wasn't all serious. There were plenty of funny moments along the way, too.

The guys wrap up the episode by sharing a timely email from a listener about one of the hardest things we're called to do as parents: surrendering our children to God, trusting that He loves them even more than we do.

This week, the guys kick things off by reading some recent listener reviews of the show before catching up on life. Winston shares what's involved in getting ready to breed his dog, June, while Chris talks about the strange reality of parenting kids in three completely different seasons of life—and how quickly the job changes as they grow up.

Then it's time for a little wishful thinking. Chris and Winston each bring their Top 7 Dream Guests for the Southern Gentlemen Podcast to the table. From entertainers and athletes to authors, musicians, and a few wild cards, they make their case for who they'd most love to have sitting across from them on the show someday.
