    Rhett Miller co-founded the Old 97's in 1992 and the band has retained all of their original members since then. Considered by many as pioneers of the Alt-Country movement, today their music has elements of Americana, Indie Rock, and Power Pop. Throughout the years they've recorded over 20 projects with 7 singles landing on the adult album alternative charts. They were honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 Americana Music Honors & Awards ceremony. Rhett shares with multi-award winning program director Ray White, the latest happenings with the band including insights on their American Primitive release and also touches on his solo albums including his latest - A Lifetime Of Riding By Night. Multi-award winning music director Ray White caught up with Joe during a recent break in Kansas' 2026 tour. He fills us in on his early breakout years, his latest album with Stratospheerius called Imposter! and how he was tapped by Kansas to to serve as their new violinist.
