  • Episode 192: The Devil She Called Dad: The Harmony Montgomery Case
    Jul 31 2026

Harmony Montgomery was just 5 years old when she was murdered by her father, Adam Montgomery, in Manchester, New Hampshire, in December 2019. Despite multiple warning signs of abuse and concerns raised by relatives, Harmony had been placed in her father's custody earlier that year. After her death, Adam concealed her body, which has never been recovered. Shockingly, Harmony wasn't reported missing until December 2021, when her mother, Crystal Sorey, realized she had not seen or spoken to her daughter in years.

During Adam Montgomery's 2024 trial, prosecutors argued that he fatally beat Harmony during a drug-fueled period of homelessness and then moved and hid her body for months with the help of his estranged wife, Kayla Montgomery, who later testified against him. Adam was convicted of murder and several related offenses in 2024, but in 2026 the New Hampshire Supreme Court overturned his murder conviction on procedural grounds and ordered a new trial. His convictions for abuse of a corpse, evidence tampering, witness tampering, and other offenses remain in place, and prosecutors have announced they intend to retry the murder charge. Harmony's body has never been found, and her case has prompted widespread criticism of the child welfare system for failing to protect her despite repeated reports of abuse.

  • Episode 191: The Anatomy of Obsession: The Laura Black Case
    Jul 17 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

In 1984, 22-year-old engineer Laura Black began working at ESL Inc. in Sunnyvale, California, where coworker Richard Farley quickly became obsessed with her. Despite repeatedly rejecting his advances, Farley stalked Laura for nearly four years—bombarding her with hundreds of letters, gifts, phone calls, and unwanted visits. He even obtained her personal information through deception, followed her to social events, and vandalized her property. After losing his job and just one day before a restraining order against him was set to take effect, Farley returned to ESL on February 16, 1988, armed with multiple firearms. He killed seven people, wounded four others—including Laura—and held police at bay during a five-hour siege before surrendering. The shocking case became one of the driving forces behind California's first anti-stalking law and inspired the 1993 television film Stalking Laura.

  • Episode 190: Hell Hath No Fury: The Betty Broderick Story
    Jul 3 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

To the outside world, Betty Broderick had the perfect life. Living in an affluent San Diego suburb, she was the ultimate high-society housewife, mother to four children, and the rock behind her husband Dan’s meteoric rise to becoming one of the city's top medical-malpractice attorneys. For years, Betty sacrificed everything to support his dreams, expecting to finally enjoy the lifestyle they had built together.

But the dream turned into a suburban nightmare when Dan hired a young new assistant, Linda Kolkena. What followed was a brutal, five-year disintegration of a marriage that would become widely known as the most toxic divorce in California history. As Betty found herself increasingly isolated, financially cut off, and pushed to the margins of the life she created, her retaliation escalated from angry voicemails to actions that shocked her community.

On a quiet November morning in 1989, the escalating psychological warfare reached a point of no return inside a darkened bedroom. In this episode, we dive deep into the messy, polarizing story of the Broderick marriage. Was Betty a calculated, vindictive killer who refused to let go, or was she a woman driven to absolute madness by years of gaslighting and systemic legal torment?
