    Dustin was born and raised in Saskatchewan and remains a prairie boy at heart he was raised around rural gun culture.

    As an adult Dustin moved to British Columbia to pursue a career in film and has spent the last 15 years working primarily in the props department as a prop master and licensed armor.

    He has been lucky enough to learn from some of the most experienced folks in the business and has had the opportunity to work on productions of all types from small budget series to big budget feature films. His person passion for firearms has helped build him a reputation for his safety focus and attention to detail.

    He is also a proud recent addition to Slamfire Radio, and in his spare time you can usually find him out plinking, training for a match, or in his workshop building something unique and interesting.

    This month we welcome Cheyanne and Savanna Popp, a competitive mother-daughter PRS team.About CheyanneCheyanne Popp grew up on a pig farm in Balzac, Alberta, where she developed a passion for shooting, starting with a single-shot Cooey Ace with her father. After a break from shooting, her husband rekindled her interest, leading to camping and target shooting adventures. In 2017, she joined the Calgary District Target Shooters Association (CDTSA) for community support and began competing, including representing Team Canada at the IPRF 2024 World Championship. As her skills advanced, she became a supported shooter for Apex Optics and Patriot Valley Arms, contributing to the community.About SavannaSavanna Popp, born in Calgary, was introduced to firearms early, starting with a pellet gun at age three. She progressed to a Cooey Ace rifle at five and later a Sako Quad. After observing matches from 2019 to 2022, Savanna debuted in competitive shooting at ten, participating in various matches throughout 2022 and earning respect in the sport.   • Episode 39: Kerri Monsour – Aiming High

    This month we welcome Kerri Monsour, a competitive PRS shooter and mentor.

    About Kerri MonsourKerri is a PRS shooter with roots that go back to when she first picked up a rifle at 14 in cadets—but her real journey into precision shooting began after she married her husband, Shane. He and his business partner, Steve, started EM Precision about a decade ago, and not long after, Shane had her out to her first PRS match. She was instantly hooked!

    Since then, she has been steadily growing in the sport, learning every step of the way and loving the challenge. She shoots for Team EM, and she says she is lucky to be surrounded by an incredible, supportive crew that’s helped her grow both on and off the range. she has also had the chance to give back by running Ladies Day events at the CHAS range, an incredibly rewarding experience that lets her help more women step confidently into the shooting world.

    In 2023, she was proud to be featured in the Gunnie Girl Calendar—an unforgettable experience that celebrated strong women in shooting sports.

    Kerri had the opportunity to compete in the King of 2 Miles, where she pushed herself further than ever before—literally. Her longest confirmed shot to date is 2,100 meters, although not during a competition.

    Kerri is a proud shooter for Team EM, and also sponsored by Curtis Custom Actions, MDT, March Scopes Canada, Triggertech, and IBI. Their support means the world to her, and she is fired up for the season ahead!
