Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favourite days of the year, and for a long time, it was all about romance. But this year, I found myself reflecting less on love in the traditional sense and more on the ways I’ve learned to choose myself, through motherhood, marriage, health, and self-reflection.

This is an honest conversation about self-worth, sustainability, and turning love inward, using the Five Love Languages as a framework for personal care rather than romance. A reminder that choosing yourself isn’t selfish, it’s necessary.

You don’t need to wait to be chosen. You already are.
