• Seeing Harriet Tubman's Statue 'Controversy' Through an Artists Eyes
    Sep 4 2023
"Philadelphia initially tapped white sculptor Wesley Wofford for a new Harriet Tubman statue, but after local controversy, he stepped aside. Wofford believes that addressing underrepresentation in public art is a collective effort that involves all artists, not just black ones, sculpting diverse subjects. Together, we can make a difference." https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/tubman-statue-sparks-debate-over-art-race/vi-AA1g95sU?ocid=socialshare&cvid=0ff1c542d65942a9bbe8ceb02daa257a&ei=13

The movie didn't do well in China because “The Chinese are racist”...until a black NBA player visits China and the player is mobbed. The Little Mermaid, a film where many critics of the movie said the lead actress wasn't the weak link in the movie. Hello, hello! How are you? Today’s show is pre-recorded as I'm helping a friend on a movie set, so I won't be able to talk calls today my friends! Enjoy... Soooo, President Bidens main qualification for someone to be nominated to a seat on the Supreme Court is that the candidate not only be a woman, but more so that she be Black; not just a woman, not the most qualified, he specifically stated that she only be a Black person. Let’s talk about it. • Progressive District Attorneys + DeFund the Police = The Deaths of Innocents
    Jan 18 2022
So, how’s the Progressive movement and defund the police movement working for you? Things improve in your high crime neighborhood. Crime down? Wait, were you one of the people that was convinced that the police, not the violent felons, are the bane of comunities experiencing increasing, the reason for abuse and death in the inner-city? Wait, did you even live in the neighborhood where you were protesting the police, or did you live in say, Malibu or Amherst? Has thing gotten better from the election of those “criminal justice reform, end mass incarceration, criminal are victims, and ‘my laws are guaranteed to get someone killed” district attorneys like Los Angeles District Attorney Gascon, or the one in San Francisco whose parents were active members of the terrorist group The Weather Underground? Let’s talk about it…  Cori Bush explains her “defund the police" position - YouTube

  • (Fixed audio) Why the Wokerati and Identity politics kills a comic-book movie...
    Jan 16 2022
Back in the days of Superman, The Crow, Iron Man, The Avengers, Spiderman, Wonder Woman, etc., movies were presented based on, you know, the storyline and the characters. But now it’s about the non-Anglos, the melanin country, the sexual orientation, hyper-feminism, how many trans, that’s at the forefront of the promotion. When I sit in on meetings, the cringe is high because they’re selling not the story, not the character, no, its about what the character looks like, thinks link, and what group the character represents. Hollywood actors, especially the current generation of talent, too many really don't have knowledge of the comic-book genre, and when they research, the fims revolve around color, gender, etc., Let’s talk about this by reading an article I just came across, link posted in the description….  'Peacemaker': Danielle Brooks Says James Gunn Wrote Role for Her - Variety Outrage Over Brian Tyree Henry Casting As Marvel’s First ‘Openly Gay Hero’ | Black America Web Marvel's 'Eternals': How Gay Superhero Phastos Came to Be - Variety Milestone Just Made Static Shock's Origin More Relevant Than Ever (screenrant.com)

  • When Dark Skin is Made a Symbol of Disadvantage
    Jan 9 2022
It’s been a disturbing, and increasing, narrative the last few years, that having Black (and Brown) skin equals being disadvantage and oppressed. It became clear when a few days ago, in conversation with several friends, non-Black or Latino, insisted that Black people must work three times as hard as White people to be successful; and that I was wrong for saying that it’s not true. And media makes it a mission to take every opportunity to post articles that continue the narrative that Black skin equals oppression and disadvantage.
