For our final episode of our miniseries on the Smith River and it’s vital tributary the Tenderfoot, we are joined by a man that has spent years on the Smith.  Will Plumhoff is a Missoula based guide and has invested his career into protecting this vulnerable ecosystem.  Will shares with us why protection of the Smith and Tenderfoot is imperative to every Montanan and why the Montana Headwaters Legacy Act could save the Smith.

Today we are chatting with a Montana native (since the age of three) and seasoned outfitter, Jason Fleury.  Jason owns and operates TroutChasers Lodge on the banks of the coveted Gallatin.  He is here representing the Gallatin River and Taylor Creek.  Sharing his love of this place, Jason explains why protection of this area is so important. 

In today’s episode we are joined by a retired Marine and longtime outfitter, Chris Fleck.  Chris has fished and guided the Stillwater River for nearly two decades.  As a passionate conservationist, Chris is here representing the Stillwater and West Stillwater rivers, an area that could receive 43 miles of protection.  Chris shares with us why this protection is so needed.

Today we are joined by veteran outfitter and former whitewater guide, Brian McGeehan.  Brian is here representing the Boulder and West Boulder Rivers.  His company, Montana Angler, has an outpost along the main stem of the Boulder and this area that could receive 45 miles of protection.  He shares with us why safeguarding these ecosystems is so important.
